My goal as a therapist is to help clients attain their personal goals that lead to improvement in their quality of life. I provide a warm, safe, and confident environment to foster positive change. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral, Cognitive Processing, Trauma-Focused, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Attachment Theory, Theraplay Principles, and Brainspotting. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of Arkansas. I have served various positions in the mental health field since 2009 and have been a licensed therapist since 2013.

I am a LPC with 8 years of experience. I have worked with all ages in a variety of settings. I work with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and struggling to find hope. Lauren is passionate about mental health and counseling. She believes that the counseling process should be enjoyable, and that a client-centered approach and individualization is key to therapeutic growth. Lauren has helped adults, children & families learn to cope and grow through various life changes and difficulties. Lauren places importance on creating a judgement-free atmosphere, and holding space in which you can safely and openly share and explore thoughts and feelings.

I am passionate about working with families and their children. My goal is to help my clients identify what they can improve and guide them through achieving their personal goals, whether as an individual or a family unit. I thrive in working with teens and young adults who struggle with anxiety disorder, help my clients learn how to identify and engage in social and emotional life skills, and strongly encourages self-love and acceptance as a key tool in becoming a healthy, functioning individual. I apply cognitive approaches to engage clients in identifying root issues, processing those difficulties, and working through them.

My belief is that most people, if not everyone, can benefit from mental health services during at least one point in their lives. Life can be very challenging, but people are strong and, inherently, survivors. However, sometimes the ways we adapt and survive become unhelpful in our everyday lives, and we need a safe, neutral, knowledgeable, and unconditional person to help us walk through recovery to healing. When I think about my ideal client, I think of someone that is willing & engaged throughout the therapeutic process. When it comes to an age range on the ideal client, I love having a range between 3- 18 years old but for this I will choose a child that is 5 years old. This child displays unsafe behaviors with peers & adults & struggles to be regulated in all settings. They are currently experiencing anxiety, & nervousness after being placed in foster care. They are currently struggling with implementing coping skills & listening to safe adults. Caregiver wants the child to work on communication, feelings, & display safe behaviors.
