My goal as a therapist is to help clients attain their personal goals that lead to improvement in their quality of life. I provide a warm, safe, and confident environment to foster positive change. I utilize a variety of treatment modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral, Cognitive Processing, Trauma-Focused, Person-Centered, Solution Focused, Attachment Theory, Theraplay Principles, and Brainspotting. I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of Arkansas. I have served various positions in the mental health field since 2009 and have been a licensed therapist since 2013.

I have many therapeutic techniques to help you, but from my experience, the therapeutic relationship is the most powerful tool towards healing.

There can be healing and growth after going through really hard things in life. Trauma doesn’t have to be the end of your story. You can write a new chapter. I am passionate about coming alongside those who are adjusting to life changes and seeking personal growth, as well as helping those who are working through the effects of abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and grief.

When I think about my ideal client, I think of someone that is willing & engaged throughout the therapeutic process. When it comes to an age range on the ideal client, I love having a range between 3- 18 years old but for this I will choose a child that is 5 years old. This child displays unsafe behaviors with peers & adults & struggles to be regulated in all settings. They are currently experiencing anxiety, & nervousness after being placed in foster care. They are currently struggling with implementing coping skills & listening to safe adults. Caregiver wants the child to work on communication, feelings, & display safe behaviors.

Each day we take a walk on our own personal journey through life. Our journeys will take many different paths, twists and turns we will have to navigate. Sometimes we can navigate the journeys by ourselves and at others we may need someone to walk beside us. I have walked with people of all ages, from age 3-adulthood on their journeys since 2004. Up to this point my personal journey has been working with agencies, but now I have decided to take my own journey into a private practice setting.

I provide mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families. Children communicate best through their natural language of play. My counseling approach focuses on meeting children's needs emotionally and developmentally through play therapy. Being able to help children and their families improve their daily life is a privilege. I believe that all people have the capability of changing and working through life's difficulties with the support of a therapeutic relationship. I believe this relationship is the primary motivating factor to facilitate growth. .

I am passionate about helping others and enjoy helping them navigate through their daily life challenges no matter how serious they may seem. I work to create a comfortable atmosphere where clients can feel safe to process their emotions and work together with them to develop new and healthy coping skills to accomplish whatever goals they may have. I utilize treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Processing, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Behavior Modification as well as Theraplay Principals.

The journey of healing can be a daunting path, I strive to provide a safe and authentic environment in which I can walk alongside you as you explore your own story, and through it, find yourself. I graduated from John Brown University in 2018 with a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy. I have extensive training in trauma informed care, attachment based interventions, experiential play therapy, child centered play, Adlerian play and has completed level 1 theraplay training.

I am here to assist your child and you through difficult times. I am a Licensed Professional Therapist and a Registered Play Therapist. I have specialized training using dogs and horses in my therapy sessions. When young children have problems, they aren't yet emotionally equipped to sit down and tell you or a therapist what is bothering them, but they can tell a trained therapist what is wrong through their play. In a play therapy room, equipped with specific toys and designed to make a child feel safe and secure, many feelings can be expressed through play.

I am a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) providing individual, child, and family counseling. I use both talk and play therapies to help clients meet their goals and find healing. I work with a variety symptoms including depression, anxiety, self-esteem/worth, behavioral issues, trauma, loss/grief/, divorce, life adjustments, and abuse. My ideal client is someone who has a feeling that something is not as it should be in their life. I believe that every person has wounds either from family, disappointments in life, or from traumatic experiences. I also believe life is most vibrant when those wounds are acknowledged and witnessed by those you trust, rather than avoided or denied. Working with children is where I truly make an impact and enjoy my career most. My interests and experiences are in: trauma processing, neurodiversity, autism, anxiety, depression, adoption and foster care, attachment, behavior and mood dysregulation, stress and panic, and self-esteem. I have lived experience with chronic illness as well.

My passion is helping children and families work through problems and issues that disrupt positive relationships. I specialize in working with children who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, behavioral problems in several environments, family dynamics, anger, relationship concerns, school/work stressors, trauma issues, and unhealthy communication patterns. I particularly enjoy helping foster/adoptive families find peace and cohesion in their new family situation. I also love helping children with severe emotional and behavioral issues. I am passionate about providing a safe place for my clients to be heard and seen. It can be hard talking about your insecurities, fears, trauma, and processing emotions. It is a privileged to walk beside my client's through their journey. I work with adults and children who deal with anxiety, depression, impulse control, grief, family issues, have witnessed or been a victim of abuse, and struggle with behavioral issues. I work with adults on their attachment style to work on building a more secure attachment in their relationships.
