I began working with a diverse population in 2004.I help my clients find their voice rather than using self-destructive behaviors or allowing their diagnosis to become them. Dr. Falkstein has worked in the mental health field since 1988 and has conducted several thousand evaluations over the past 20 years. Unlike most psychologists, Dr. Falkstein has experience and knowledge as a psychologist in private practice and as a school psychologist actually working in the schools. Dr. Falkstein has a clinical team that works with him that includes two other Licensed Psychologists and 6 Licensed Professional Counselors. We offer evaluation services and therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults.

As moments of loss, stress and conflict occur, I support children and families in restoration and renewal. I love to help children (ages 3+) discover their strengths, learn how to face challenges and strengthen their relationships through a play therapy approach. I also use Theraplay® principles to restore relationships between parents/caregivers and their child. Theraplay is particularly effective with adopted children or with children who have experienced relational disruptions.
