I have been providing services in the DFW area since 2007, including services for children, adults, and families. I am a licensed psychologist dedicated to working with children and families. I treat a number of childhood emotional and behavioral disorders and have advanced training and experience in the treatment of mood disorders and anxiety disorders (e.g., OCD, social phobia, and selective mutism). I also have unique experience in providing psychotherapy to children and adolescents whose emotional problems occur alongside developmental differences, such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, or mental retardation.

At Acorn to Oak I offer testing to clients ranging from preschool age through adulthood. Are you a parent whose child is struggling in school? Are you an adult worried about your cognitive processes due to a health event, accident, or family history of dementia? I offer testing to figure out what's going on and then recommend treatment options. Additionally, we offer a unique Skills Training program for clients to come weekly for cognitive behavior therapy, individualized academic assistance, or focused training based on behavorial, developmental, or life skills needs.

In celebration of each individual's strengths and unique qualities, I offer an individualized approach that is customized to the needs of each client. I believe that with support, guidance, compassion, and understanding people have the ability to not only find solutions to their challenges, but the strength to make positive changes. I am passionate about working with children, teens, adults, and families and offer play therapy, activity therapy, expressive arts, and/or traditional talk therapy. I practice from a neurodiversity affirming lens where we focus on empowerment and appreciating everyone's unique differences.

Working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum has been my life’s work. I own a private practice that focuses on providing counseling and comprehensive evaluation of autism. I believe that counseling has the potential to help a person unlock his/her ultimate potential. I utilize a humanistic approach to therapy that seeks to help a person integrate mind and body, in an effort to achieve wholeness. I incorporate modalities such as play therapy expressive arts, and sand tray therapy. However, I believe the power of the therapeutic relationship is quintessential for success with clients. I am a pediatric psychologist with over 2 decades of experience helping kids and their families develop and thrive. I specialize in pediatric feeding disorder and in PC-CARE informed parenting. I work both in person and over telehealth, and I can provide telehealth services in most states across the country. Feeding and parenting services can be provided individually or in a group setting.
