I am a graduate of NYU in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling, and I enjoy being in a career that is service-oriented. Working predominantly with couples, families, and pediatrics, I have extensive experience getting to know and understand the unique identifiers each person holds, and how that impacts the therapeutic process. While I can work with any client, I specialize in family therapy, couples counseling, parenting, sex therapy, women’s issues & pregnancy, religious identity, vocational counseling, neurodiversity, eating disorders, PTSD, trauma, and OCD.

I work with clients to identify their most important areas for personal growth, develop plans for change, and enact that plan; by matching the therapy to the client, ensuring that every client develops tools and strategies to tackle their own personal challenges and life transitions.. My approach includes influences from yoga, drama, music, and art.

The impact of systemic oppression and racism is traumatic and integrating systemic experiences and their relationship to the challenges you are managing, is foundational to my work with you.

I work with individuals from all walks of life who are experiencing family issues, dealing with past trauma, navigating gender identity, work stress, and general life challenges. I also have experience working with clients who have struggled with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and PTSD.

Marisa MHC-LP - I'm the co-founder of Davine Counseling. I'm a Mental Health Counselor who specializes in direct services and interventions focused on helping clients of all ages with a variety of different goals and approaches for therapy. A session with me will start with a consultation and an initial assessment. Here you will expect me to ask you questions about yourself to give me a better understanding of you! Here we will also start to discuss therapy goals and expectations as well as a plan for what our session schedule will look like.
