I approach each client from a place of gratitude and awe. It takes enormous courage to ask for help. That is never lost on me. A key to therapy is building a therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. The client in the beginning, out of shear bravery, allows me into their journey. As they learn to trust me and open up, we begin to explore their unique nuances, their ups and downs, their pains, their hurts, as well as their successes along their journey. In this exploration together, healing and understanding begins to flourish.
Although I see a wide variety of clients, I have a keen interest in all things relationship related.
Having been "on that side of the couch" many times, being that I too am human, I know the initial nervousness and unease one may feel when asking for help. My job among many things is for any and all clients to first see me as a fellow human, then as a therapist.
