My ideal client is someone who is just not quite sure,'where to go from here', with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, and just plain being,' Stuck'.I have over 25 years of counseling experience and have successfully helped clients overcome career, family, and relationship dilemmas, as well as addiction and troubles with compulsive behaviors. I will work with you in determining your best course and help you break down seemingly monstrous problems into manageable tasks. Co-Dependency in relationships is one of my specialties. I have even trained other therapists in dealing with this and other issues.
My approach to helping people has always been to walk with them on their journey to better spiritual, emotional, and even physical health.I am straight-forward, with practical guidance that focuses on completion of tasks. I am available on Saturdays, and because I only see a limited number of clients, I can devote more attention to the needs of each one.
I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, and Task and Problem Centered approaches to therapy. You will leave the office with an idea of where you want to go and how to get there. I will walk with you on the journey, providing coaching and encouragement when you need it.
