I am a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with more than 20 years of experience. I embrace the philosophy that my clients are essentially healthy. I believe that a therapist and client work together as a team to restore the individual's emotional well-being. My goal is to help address the symptoms that may be covering or blocking this health by using a variety of methods including talk therapy and EMDR.
Talk therapy helps individuals to better understand their reactions to situations and develop new ways to address and cope with feelings, events or habits that are interfering with their lives.
For individuals coping with previous traumas, I am compassionate and well versed in the treatment of PTSD symptoms
using EMDR.
EMDR involves the client and therapist working together to reduce pain by focusing the client on a series of visual cues while assisting him/her in re-learning reactions to traumatic memories.
Providing a safe and relaxing space, I am both patient and supportive as I help individuals work toward wellness.
