I consider it an honor to walk alongside my clients on their journey towards healing. My therapy approach is highly collaborative. I value the therapeutic relationship more than any technique or theory itself. Initiating counseling is often a big and difficult step and I do my best to help you feel relaxed, comfortable and welcome. I am passionate about working with clients experiencing loss and grief. Many presenting issues come down to a loss- loss of a loved one, loss of a pregnancy, loss of hopes/dreams, loss of a marriage...and working through loss requires time, connection and a safe place.

Anxious in love? Do you overthink, constantly wonder, "what if?" and worry that the next disagreement will end it all? Does this leave you feeling like you're "too much"? I would be honored to help you (or you and your partner) reconnect with yourselves and each other, build secure love, confidence, and self-compassion. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most researched approaches for couples therapy with 30+ years of empirical support. I may be biased but I think it is the greatest model for couples work. Red Therapy Group is an EFT practice that prioritizes continued learning and EFT-specific supervision.

I work with people who are feeling anxious, stuck in self-doubt, or uncertain about relationships, identity, or direction in life. Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally, caught in overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling like they’re “behind” where they should be. Therapy with me is warm, honest, and collaborative. I help you slow down the noise, understand the patterns that keep you stuck, and build a more grounded, self-trusting relationship with yourself.

I primarily see individuals who are struggling with some form of low self-esteem/ self-worth, anxious and/or avoidant attachment styles, negative childhood experiences, and high stress related to balancing life's many demands.
I work with young adults and up. Because I am telehealth only, a screening for fit is sometimes required to assure telehealth is appropriate for you. If you have any questions or hesitations on telehealth, let's schedule a 15-minute consultation to work through some of those barriers.

I work with adults and couples struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, nutrition issues, women's issues, and relationship issues.
I work with adult individuals and couples who are high-functioning but emotionally overwhelmed. Many are high achievers, codependent, or emotionally immature, and find themselves stuck in anxiety-driven or unbalanced relationship patterns. They suppress needs, manage others’ emotions, and say "I'm fine"—until resentment, anger, or shutdown takes over. My approach is past-aware, present-focused, and skill-based. Together, we interrupt patterns, regulate the nervous system, and turn insight into real-life change—especially in relationships. If your brain feels loud and tired of spiraling, snapping, or overgiving, this work is for you!

I believe therapy works best when you feel truly seen, accepted, and safe enough to be yourself—even the parts you’re not so sure about yet. My style is warm, open, and non-judgmental, with room for humor and lightness alongside deep, meaningful work. I aim to create a space where you can exhale, be real, and explore what’s going on beneath the surface.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
