Areas of particular focus include trauma, anxiety, and parent-child relationships.
Life gets messy sometimes. Whether it be due to trauma, a conflictual relationship, or even our own feelings that seem to come out of nowhere, there are times when we find ourselves "stuck" and wondering why we can't seem to manage at our full potential. The good news is that real and lasting change is possible. In my over fifteen years of experience, I have seen individuals and families heal, grow, and thrive at a level that surprised even themselves. If the hard stuff in life is seeming heavy, I'd love to come alongside you to help you create a path to reaching your goals.

Whether you’re a neurodivergent adult navigating a world that feels like it wasn't built for you, or a parent trying your best to support your kid with their own struggles, I’m here to offer a space where you don’t have to mask, over-explain, apologize, or shrink yourself.
For kids and teens, I use child-led, creative methods like play therapy, sand tray, and expressive arts, which allow them to process in their own way & at their own pace. For adults, our work might look like exploring identity, building emotional regulation skills, unlearning harmful internalized messages, or just having a space to breathe and be yourself.

Teens exploring their identity, parents navigating divorce, new moms adjusting to life with a baby, college students figuring out their next move, people starting a new career, and older adults trying to reconnect with adult children.
I try to make therapy feel like a safe, comfortable conversation where you don’t have to put on a mask. I don’t come in with a rigid agenda—I want to hear what’s on your mind and what matters most to you. I’ll bring in tools like CBT or motivational interviewing when they’re helpful, but I keep things flexible so it actually fits your life.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
