EMDR is an excellent form of therapy for any type of trauma, anxiety, grief, phobia or any situation where you feel "stuck" and cannot move forward.
It is never too late to change your life. Life can be hard and we all need help sometimes. Now is the time to change your life and invest in a healthier, happier you. I would be honored to help you change your life for a more positive tomorrow. I think everyone deserves to live their best life. I have over 25 years experience working with various issues such as depression, anxiety, abuse, ect. or just life issues, marital/family, spiritual or substance abuse issues. I work to get to the root cause of the issue so you can have more permanent and deeper healing. I am no longer taking insurance, I only have self pay options.

I work with clients that present with a variety of issues - depression, anxiety, addiction - often stemming from underlying issues with codependency, low self-worth, family of origin issues, and unresolved trauma. I see individuals, couples, and adolescents. If appropriate, I like working with clients in a group setting where peer support and identification with others help clients feel less misunderstood, alone or different.

I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief, social anxiety/difficulty and trauma.
With all the challenges that we are facing in our world today, mental health is more important now than ever. There are some who even feel like they have lost touch with their inner authentic selves, and have trouble being dedicated to their faith while seeking help. My goal is to help those that are in need of finding the balance needed to create a life worth living. Together, we can overcome anxiety, grief and much more, by taking care of both your mental and spiritual health.

Two things I know about people who walk through our doors is 1) they are brave, and 2) they are strong enough to see when something needs growth or improvement- whether that be in their home, family, work atmosphere, or within their own internal dynamics- and to seek out resources to help them reach their goals. Our clients tend to be well-educated, high functioning individuals who have recognized their own levels of reactivity to various situations or relationships and desire to attend to the factors contributing to that. This includes addressing various types of interpersonal trauma and stress stored in the nervous system.

I work with clients, couples, families to learn about: Healthy Communication skills; Substance Use Recovery, Trauma focused therapy, Mental/Physical/Emotional/Sexual abuse, Anxiety, Depression, Relationships.
I believe people of all ages experience problematic situations or events that create the "Core Beliefs" we hold deep inside. These beliefs can help you feel more confident in the person you want to be while the negative core beliefs can hold you back from growing and living a happy and satisfying life. Clients I see want to know the "why or what happened to me that holds me back from being the real me. I want to give and receive love. I want to be honest with myself and with the people I love. I want to be heard and not judged. I just want to find happiness, acceptance, and pride in myself versus living in shame, anger and fear."

My experience includes certifications and advanced training in integrative health, energy psychology, and trauma-focused treatments.
When I start working with a new client, often I’m told my unique approach feels refreshing. I don’t just ask, “how does that make you feel,” without challenging you to think about, “what do you want to do about it?” My ideal client is tired of the status quo. I work with people who want to learn about how to sustain their mental well-being after my services have ended. I teach my clients what I know so they can identify their needs, develop their principles, and feel like they can handle life’s challenges. I will help you build skills and uncover your true self.

I'm trained in EMDR, which is most commonly used to treat trauma or other ongoing issues that do not respond to traditional therapy methods.
I love hearing client’s unique stories and walking with them through whatever life brings their way. I want to help clients get to the root of their issues rather than staying on the surface of the same patterns. I desire to help clients get out of survival mode by opening their hearts and learning more of who they are so they can live life fully the way God made them. I have experience in both private practice and residential treatment. I have worked closely with those dealing with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, self-esteem issues, codependency, marriage counseling, and relationship issues.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
