I have a passion to integrate my "something•to•do to show Who•God•Is" 1 Cor 12:7 in partnering with those who would like to live fully in a growing, connecting and restoring, redeemed experience with each other and our Creator. I especially have a heart for marriage and families, having come from a torn-apart family system. I see each client as a whole person—mind, body, and spirit—deeply loved by God. I want others to know there is hope and healing, redemption in these heart-breaking experiences.

I help clients slow down, build internal awareness, and put the pieces together of what they feel, need, and fear so that they can label and name their experiences for themselves and their loved ones.
Hello - I am Trey Manor. I help teens, adults, and couples understand and express themselves and their experiences. Often times, we seek out ways to avoid or numb out those difficult, painful, confusing, or overwhelming emotions and memories. I get to help couples, individuals, military and first responders decipher and verbalize their inner turmoil. I work with individuals seeking to understand and express their emotions, recover from traumatic event(s), or recover from addiction. I work specifically with pornography and alcohol addiction. I also specialize in couples who are seeking greater communication and connection skills.

I work with people who want to understand not only what they're struggling with, but why. I'm curious about the experiences that shaped you, the patterns you developed along the way, and the ways your mind and body learned to adapt. Therapy can help us move beyond simply understanding those patterns to noticing how they show up in your life, relationships, and body—and exploring what you may want to do differently.

I work to provide a safe, non-judgemental and supportive environment for adults and adolescents that are experiencing anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, body image and other self-esteem issues, behavioral problems, and other mental health concerns.
My vision for counseling is to foster an environment that promotes the client's exploration of resolution to life's problems. I understand that therapy can be a difficult, yet rewarding process. I believe that the real work of therapy must be done by the client, and I work collaboratively with clients to identify therapy goals and the 'roadmap' to the achievement of these goals.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
