Being a human is hard, and sometimes overwhelmingly hard. Things going on within, around, or to us can challenge how we experience and engage with life and ourselves. Sometimes we need helping in sorting out our thoughts, feelings, and actions in order to find a way to live both comfortably and authentically. Sometimes we need help finding new perspectives and understandings of ourselves, others, or the world. Sometimes we are comfortable within ourselves, but are facing difficulty in interacting with others and need assistance in uncovering friction points. No matter what it is, you’re welcome to explore it with me.

I’m so glad you’re here and taking the first step toward finding a space where you can feel safe, supported, and truly understood — even if it starts with just a conversation over coffee. I’ve worked in the counseling field for the past seven years, including experience as a school counselor, which has given me valuable insight into helping parents navigate challenges and become the best version of themselves. I genuinely love connecting with people and walking alongside them through different seasons of life. Recently, I’ve become especially passionate about supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, pregnancy and postpartum c

Sometimes, our minds simply won’t slow down especially when dealing with intrusive thoughts, anxiety, and the effects of trauma. Anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and the impact of past or ongoing trauma can feel heavy, confusing, and at times frightening. It can be hard to make sense of what you’re feeling, let alone know what to do next. You might be stuck in loops of overthinking, replaying conversations, or questioning your own thoughts. It can be exhausting to feel like your mind never gives you a break. We all need a space where we can feel safe, heard, seen, and cared about as we work through the hard and hidden spots in us.

Hi there! I'm Kevin. Thank you for checking out my page. I am a mindfulness-based therapist for the LGBTQIA+ community, trauma survivors, and those battling the twists and turns of anxiety and depression. I think of therapy like gardening. Taming the overgrowth of ignored emotions, tending to the roots of your experiences, and pruning away what no longer serves you. It takes work and sometimes is uncomfy. Together, we'll find different ways to meet that discomfort and make room for growth.

It is my dream and honor to help clients who feel stuck in some way in their lives and relationships work towards health, wholeness, and growth. This "stuck" feeling may show up in many different areas in life, such as relational disconnection and conflict, recurring family-of-origin issues, struggles with anxiety and depression, or generally feeling like you're at a crossroads. I firmly believe that relational wounds can only heal in relationship. Therefore, I am dedicated to creating and fostering the safe and secure therapeutic space needed for my clients to begin the hard work of looking deeper and working towards health.

I am passionate about helping clients find their voice and embrace their autonomy. I want to help create and hold a healing space that allows my clients to take up that space authentically. As a queer and gender non-conforming individual, I am especially passionate about working with folks within these communities. I work with relationship systems such as monogamous couples, ethically non-monogamous systems, and families, as well as with individuals. I enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodiversity, disordered eating, trauma, identity exploration, and sex/intimacy concerns.

I find many individuals reaching out with depression, anxiety, grief, and family of origin issues in addition to a specialized population of creative clients, those going through significant life transitions, LGBTQA clients, and individuals reconstructing their beliefs and sense of self from unhealthy family systems and harmful religious/spiritual beliefs. I work with adult individuals, couples, and groups.  In addition, I offer uniquely tailored intensives and ecotherapy sessions and healing religious trauma groups for clients desiring an alternative to traditional, office based talk therapy.

Giving up on a goal because of a setback is like slashing your other three tires because you have a flat; I live by this quote because it is so simplistic yet speaks volumes. I feel that in life you will always have setbacks, but that is essential to understanding that it is a process but that it is your process that we will work through together in a strong therapeutic relationship.

The ups and downs of life can be tough for us all. We strive every day to find a little more light, however, sometimes just as we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, an unexpected new challenge falls in our path. This can feel as if there is no way out. Counseling offers an avenue to work together to brighten this path. The experiences in our past impact the way we live our life today, how we cope with these challenges, and how we see our future. Finding the insight, self-knowledge and inner strength for better coping with our depression, anxiety, or uncertainty is the key to living our most fulfilling lives
