My hope is that our work together can reignite those things that bring you the most joy and life. Often this process involves working through the impact of loss, pain, or trauma in a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship. I work extensively with artists, musicians, womxn and queer folx, and much of my experience centers around religious trauma and spiritual wounding. My work is informed by feminist/queer theory, and humanistic and existential perspectives of psychotherapy. I often incorporate the use of mindfulness techniques and I am trained in numerous evidence-based clinical treatments including IFS, AEDP, ACT, and EMDR.

My clientele consists of children, adolescents, and adults. I use a variety of approaches in working with my clients in an attempt to find the most efficacious approach to meet the particular client's needs. As a psychologist, I also perform psychological evaluations for diagnostic purposes. For example, I evaluate cognitive ability, learning disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and many other issues. Finding oneself can be a daunting task in our complex society. I aspire to help my clients achieve self understanding, a sense of efficacy, and develop tools to assist them in navigating life's challenges on their own.

I am an activist, feminist, size-neutral, and sex-positive human who is affirming of all identities and dedicated to smashing the patriarchal and heteronormative views of beauty, worth, and roles.
Healing can only happen if you find space to allow your pain and hopes to be witnessed. So many people suffer in silence, carry burdens of intergenerational trauma or being neurodivergent in a world not built for them, and have never REALLY been given the space to use their voice. If this describes you, you belong here. Part of my goal as your therapist is to help you find your voice again (or perhaps for the first time) and have the opportunity to be truly seen and heard. I will bring full presence, respect, and compassion to our work together to support you in moving toward the life you desire and deserve.

I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ individuals, men navigating sexuality and intimacy, and people healing from religious trauma.
I'm a somatic psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. My approach is collaborative and body-based. I work with both what's on your mind and what your body is holding, because that's where lasting change actually happens. Together we'll build real skills for nervous system regulation you can use in your daily life, not just in the therapy room.

If you are someone who feels like you have lost parts of yourself along the way, you’re in the right place. Maybe a relationship, career, motherhood, or another big life change has left you questioning who you are now or where you go from here. Maybe from the outside things seem okay, but internally you feel disconnected from yourself. My passion is helping clients reconnect with their identity and recognize the strengths they already carry. A lot of my work is strengths based, while also exploring the experiences and patterns that have shaped who you are today.

My clients often refer to what I call 'blurry trauma,' early attachment experiences that were less than affirming but so ingrained, the client often doesn't recall outstanding events. They may not even remember much about their childhood at all. That kind of trauma leads to addiction, confusing, disorganized or unfulfilling relationships, and difficulty harnessing the resources needed to navigate change so the client can create their most authentic life and relationships. I use present moment, present location resources such as the client's own strengths, passions, and ability to make creative decisions to facilitate safe change.

Poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote, "time heals all wounds." You're probably searching this site because you have discovered this is not the full truth. The path to healing requires focusing some time and attention on the wounds you carry. Woundedness is the soul's voice demanding to be attended to rather than quieted. The therapeutic relationship is a conduit through which you discover your innate ability to attend to your soul and ultimately find healing.

Choosing a psychotherapist is a very important decision. Talking to someone new about yourself can be intimidating. I provide a setting that is comfortable, safe, and completely confidential. I ask what brings you to see me and what kind of help you feel you need. Sometimes it can be helpful to interview other professionals. Finding a good match is essential and my interest is always in what is best for the client. I do my best to make treatment recommendations and provide services most likely to help you.

**Now Accepting New Clients** I see adults and adolescents who typically present with anxiety and/or depression. If I had to name just one specialty, it would be anxiety. Most people suffer some form of it at some point in their lives. When left untreated, it can lead to more severe symptoms and a whole host of diagnoses. I practice primarily Cognitive Behavioral techniques. I will talk to you about your beliefs, expectations, and how you experience the world. I'll teach you to be more accepting of yourself, so you can stop judging and reacting from created stories. I will also help you improve foundational behaviors.

When you cut a tree down and look at the growth rings added every year, you can see the way fire, water, wind, and people have impacted its life each year. I believe that people are no different. Our environment shapes us, and nevertheless we grow. Some years are harder than others, but even within the hard years, growth takes place.
