I have a heart for working with children and young adults who are struggling with OCD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life changes.
Do you struggle with fear, anxiety, worry or depression? Do you avoid situations because of difficult emotions? Does your anxiety and avoidance interfere with your quality of life? Or do you feel everything in your life needs to be perfect? I am passionate about helping individuals learn to thrive again by using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure-Response Prevention Therapy (ERP). I use an integrative approach to create a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate environment in which individuals can explore and grow.

I have additional experience working with anxiety, OCD, depression, anger, and relationship issues.
Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here. Asking for help is one of the strongest - and scariest - things a person can do. I would love to provide a comfortable and safe space for you to explore the things you want to change. Together we can think about pieces of your life that are sticky, that take up too much space. I’m here to be an unbiased sounding board, a shoulder to lean on, and someone who can call you out when you need it (we all need that sometimes). I work from a holistic, trauma-informed approach grounded in authenticity and connection that is tailored to each individual person’s needs.

I specialize in the treatment of OCD, trauma/PTSD, generalized anxiety, panic, and social anxiety in adults ages 18 and up.
You may be experiencing "stuckness" in your life, feeling caught in thought loops that have left you overwhelmed, anxious, in pain, hopeless. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, OCD, trauma, or existential struggles over identity, relationships, loss, or life transitions, together through therapy, we can tap into that healing energy already within you, reframe and make space for painful experiences, reconstruct ways of moving through the world, and create space for movement toward what matters most to you.

I specialize in OCD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and gender dysphoria/identity exploration.
It’s taken me a long time to write this because I desperately wanted my bio to communicate my heart for counseling, people, and the work that I do, but I also feel that words fall short when you’re trying to communicate something so intimate. First of all, you are brave for taking a step toward deeper healing, and I am honored that you might consider me as a support alongside you in your journey. Whether this is your first time seeking counseling or your 10th time, I hope to encourage and help empower you in your fight to become who you want to be. Whatever next step you decide to take, I hope the best for you.

I look forward to working with you and helping you conquer your OCD.
From my own experience, I know OCD can be incredibly isolating. Intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors often make us feel separate from others. My primary goals are to normalize the experience and help you learn to manage your symptoms. At NOCD, my team and I provide effective specialized treatment for OCD and related conditions, such as BFRBs (including skin-picking, nail-biting, and hair-pulling). Our understanding of these conditions enables us to treat them properly. We have received training in evidence-based treatments, including Exposure Response and Prevention (ERP) therapy—the gold standard treatment for OCD.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, OCD, eating disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities and life changes.
We all know that life can be tough, and it may feel as if your brain is working against you. Sometimes life’s challenges can make it difficult to engage in healthy coping skills and self love. This can often lead to struggles with feelings, thoughts or memories that can make you feel out of control. My stance in therapy is that you are the expert on yourself and your experience. My goal is to meet you where you are at, and to provide a safe space where we can work together to identify behaviors that are not serving you.

As a therapist, I want to focus on the areas you are avoiding or where your functionality is diminished and help you get back to your regular way of life. Therapy isn't about throwing you in the deep end of the pool; it's about giving you the tools to swim there and tread water. Helping people change their perspective on life is truly fulfilling. Trust the process. Be open to your world shifting pretty drastically. Therapy can be hard work, and it can get worse before it gets better, but that 'better' is worth it. Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists

How long does OCD treatment take?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?

Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?

Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?

Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
