I work with kind, capable people, who, despite their successes, are overwhelmed with anxiety, self-critical thoughts, and the world's pain. You want relief from the overwhelm, burnout, and people pleasing. Together, we will examine self-critical thinking and explore how to approach difficult emotions in an empowered way. Even amongst the chaos, it's possible to ease your mind and live into your values. It's not your fault you feel this way and, with a little help, you can find relief and move forward. You deserve relief and a chance to live your most whole-hearted life.

You’re used to being the one who holds everything together—caring for others, showing up at work, pushing through exhaustion—while quietly feeling overwhelmed or unseen. Somewhere along the way, you lost touch with yourself. You want relief, clarity, and permission to slow down. Reaching out now isn’t weakness; it’s the moment your journey shifts from surviving on empty to reclaiming your well-being and sense of self.

I work with individuals or couples dealing with perinatal concerns, parenting stress and caring for family with medical or mental health needs. I frequently support helping professionals, like healthcare workers, legal professionals or teachers who are coping with trauma or burnout. Creating a place where you can explore your thoughts and feelings free of judgement is my first priority. I believe therapy should not feel intimidating, and that bringing warmth and humor into the process helps to keep us engaged and moving forward.

Many healthcare professionals come to therapy feeling burned out, emotionally numb, and overwhelmed—despite appearing high-functioning to others. Physicians, nurses, and therapists often ignore or push aside anxiety, burnout, and even thoughts of suicide to keep performing. Many cope by compartmentalizing work stress, over-exercising, or using food or substances. A difficult truth: nearly half of healthcare professionals wish they had chosen a different career. Rather than quitting or staying miserable, therapy can help you change your relationship with your profession and restore meaning, balance, and well-being.

You may be someone others rely on. You manage responsibilities, meet expectations, and care deeply about doing things well. From the outside, your life may look successful and well put together. Yet internally, you might experience constant pressure, difficulty slowing down, or a persistent sense that you should always be doing more.

Living with chronic pain or trauma can feel like carrying an invisible weight that affects your body, emotions, relationships, sleep, energy, and sense of self. You may feel exhausted, misunderstood, or disconnected from who you once were. Pain and trauma often coexist—the body remembers what the mind had to survive, keeping the nervous system on high alert long after danger has passed. Many of us feel stuck in survival mode, overwhelmed by physical symptoms or emotional pain that’s hard to articulate. If this resonates, know this: I see you, and you’re not alone.

Therapy should be accessible, affordable and - most of all - effective. That is my belief (and my commitment), and it shapes how I approach my work as a clinician. I love helping clients who are stuck but also ready to explore new ways to move forward. Whether it's sadness that won't go away, debilitating anxiety, or the profound impact of traumatic stressors, I have years of experience and advanced training that I draw upon to help clients chart new pathways.

I work with adult individuals looking to address trauma / PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, interpersonal problems / relationship issues, and self-care and personal growth. In our first session together, I like to get a sense of what you're looking to gain from therapy and create a personalized treatment plan to meet those goals. A big part of my approach to therapy is establishing a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where we can work through anything. My motto for therapy is "if we don't laugh, we'll cry, but we can do both!"

You may be carrying the weight of past experiences, the constant demands of motherhood, or the feeling that you’re always giving more than you have. You want to feel seen, understood, and more at ease in your own body and mind. You’re seeking balance, healing, and a way to reconnect with yourself. Therapy becomes a space where your journey shifts from simply getting through the day to tapping into the strength and wisdom you already carry.

Cognitive Processing (CPT) Therapists
How does cognitive processing therapy work?
A CPT therapist helps a client evaluate their thoughts about the trauma they experienced, focusing on maladaptive or self-blaming thoughts that can exacerbate symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, or depression. The therapist will work with a client to help them learn to challenge such thoughts and consider different perspectives. The therapist is also likely to ask a client to work on these techniques at home between meetings, such as writing an account of their trauma that can be read aloud during a future session.

What is cognitive processing therapy for PTSD?
Cognitive processing therapy (CPT) is a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy primarily used in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) to treat individuals who experienced abuse or violence, who survived natural disasters, who were first responders to such incidents, or who otherwise experienced trauma.

How long does cognitive processing therapy last?
CPT is a short-term therapy. Whether conducted one-on-one or in a group, a complete set of CPT sessions typically includes 12 weekly sessions, along with tasks for clients to complete at home, although this can vary depending on a client’s needs or a therapist’s particular treatment plan. Sessions typically last 60 or 90 minutes.

How effective is cognitive processing therapy?
A large body of research supports the use of CPT to treat people experiencing PTSD, finding it to be effective among different age groups, either in one-on-one therapy sessions or in a group therapy environment. Research suggests that although the initial sessions may be difficult, clients tend to begin to feel positive progress after the first few sessions, and that the benefits tend to last well after the therapy ends.
