With kids, I use play therapy—games, art, and storytelling—to help them express feelings, practice coping skills, and feel understood in a safe, natural way.
Therapy with me is a space where you can let down your guard and bring your whole self—your struggles, your strengths, and your humor. I strive to create an atmosphere that is peaceful and non-judgmental, while also being dynamic and solution-oriented. My goal is not for you to be dependent on therapy, but to feel empowered and equipped to be your own best therapist. Let's work together to transform struggles into strengths.

Many obstacles can interfere with living life to its fullest, but they don't have to. Creating a focused plan and sticking with it can be life changing, and at times deeper issues are at play. In my practice I work with high performing individuals such as Athletes, Entertainers and Public Figures, as well as their families. Having competed and worked in the Sport and Entertainment Industries for more than twenty years, I've developed a unique approach incorporating performance psychology, positive mental health and mindfulness to consistently help clients around the world meet and exceed their goals.

I work with individuals ages 16 and older, as well as couples and families. While I support clients with a wide range of concerns, a common thread is the desire to be seen, understood, and accepted. Many of my clients carry trauma and stress related to childhood experiences, family-of-origin wounds, and/or religious trauma, which can affect their ability to connect deeply with loved ones and live a full, authentic life.

Are you experiencing distressing thoughts that won't go away? Is it difficult for you to calm down when you become upset? Do you feel like you're on edge all the time? You may have a negative relationship with food, exercise or your body image. You may feel scared to start new relationships with others out of fear of getting hurt. This makes it difficult for you to socialize or go outside of your comfort zone. You have likely tried very hard to feel better with no success. I commonly see people who feel overwhelmed by their emotions, have troubling relationships with food, and who feel hopeless or unsure of how to feel better.

Hi and welcome to my practice! I know finding the right therapist can be difficult and overwhelming. I primarily work with clients who are struggling with OCD, anxiety, life stressors, PTSD, and relational difficulties. Maybe you find yourself stuck in unhelpful patterns, obsessing over intrusive thoughts that are disturbing and uncomfortable, people-pleasing, emotional shutdown, perfectionism, or feeling disconnected with others. This can be exhausting, overwhelming, and frustrating. Although it may seem like there is no way out, I am confident we can work together to better understand what is going on and work on it together.

Hi there! I am passionate about helping women explore their stories and discover their authentic selves through a hands-on and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe healing happens when clients are able to make sense of their past and use these past experiences as a tool to navigate obstacles and relationships moving forward. I love working with women on issues like self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, grief and loss, and relationship issues. I am trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a type of therapy that allows clients to accept their thoughts and feelings without judgment, and focus on the present moment.

Life isn’t always easy, and sometimes we all need a little support. I believe in your ability to grow, heal, and make positive changes. Therapy is a space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and work through things with honesty and reflection.

I am a psychotherapist with over 18 years of experience specializing in forensics and threat assessment and post-traumatic stress disorder. My work has been shaped by years of practice in high-stakes clinical environments where discretion, ethical clarity, and sound judgment were essential. I work with individuals and couples who are outwardly capable, accomplished, or highly visible, yet internally burdened by chronic hypervigilance, disrupted sleep, emotional shutdown, or a persistent sense of being “on” at all times. I also work with individuals with a desire to expand their lives and need support.

Together we will find the right path, and right set of practical tools, to help you overcome obstacles and become your best self. After nearly 25 years working in mental health, I am skilled in the latest, evidence-based therapies available (e.g., Relational Mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy). But no single approach works for all people at all times and, remaining flexible, we will create a safe therapeutic environment with the best combination of techniques that works for you. So many different psychotherapies exist today because there is no one approach that works at all times.

I specialize in working with the emotional internalizers of the world. Do you self-isolate? Not return text messages or calls when life gets hard? Stuffing down your feelings and wants? Avoiding conflict? Self-sabotaging? Maybe intimacy is hard for you, especially if you're a survivor of sexual trauma. You want desperately to change but aren’t sure how. Trauma (especially from dysfunctional childhoods) convinces us that we’re an anomaly, not worth loving. It feels like everyone has it “together” except you. I get it, I’ve been there. The truth is, you’re not alone. Let's help YOU get what YOU what from life, relationships, and work.

I use a variety of therapeutic models including CBT, DBT, and experiential art making to help you achieve your goals.
My ideal clients are struggling with anxiety, depression, work life balance, codependency, interpersonal issues, and/or phase of life stressors. For many clients, it can be difficult to identify their wants and needs, especially those who identify as high achieving, perfectionists, creatives and/or professionals. It's my job to help clients recognize and establish trust of themselves so that they can start achieving their goals.

My work focuses on coping through creativity and the healing power of art making.
Our collective struggle is that we have inherited a world of imbalance and as such, imbalance lives within each of us. It is my belief that healing is done in community, and that true change can only occur in the space between individuals. Together, we will work to find equilibrium and healing amongst the madness. It is my goal to help clients develop and hone the best version of themselves according to their own vision. Through the integration of movement and the expressive arts, I seek to assist clients in rewriting their narratives in a way that embodies dignity and strength.

I love helping young people feel seen, supported, and understood! That’s why I’m passionate about walking alongside children, teens, and college aged individuals as they navigate behavior challenges, anxiety, family conflict, life transitions, and self-esteem struggles. I truly believe it’s okay to not feel okay and I want every young person I work with to know that asking for help is one of the strongest and most courageous things they can do. As Robert Kiyosaki said, “One of the biggest defects in life is the inability to ask for help,” and that reminder has always encouraged me to normalize reaching out when life feels heavy.

Healing and growing is a complicated affair. Changes can be unpredictable and frightening, but facing our fears is the only path to complete healing. A counselor is a companion and an ally through the journey. A mirror that helps us see ourselves better, that can help us change the way we see the world and that gives us the opportunity to modify what bother us.

Art Therapy Therapists
How does art therapy work?
The process of making art allows people to express themselves. Art-making can take many forms, such as painting, collage, or sculpting. The therapist asks questions that the work elicits, such as how the person felt while creating their piece, or if any memories surfaced that they can discuss. The therapist will then work with the patient to process their experience, understand themselves better, and work toward change.

Does art therapy help with trauma?
Art therapy can be a valuable treatment option for those suffering from trauma. Traumatic experiences such as combat, rape, or childhood abuse can be so painful that articulating them can be too scary or painful; creating art allows people to express themselves without words, and tell their story in a different way. The physical nature of creating art can also help people feel rooted in the body, which may benefit those who feel disconnected from their body in the aftermath of trauma.

How long does art therapy last?
The duration of art therapy varies, but a common length for treatment is 10 to 15 weekly sessions. Some people may see improvement in just a few weeks, while others may choose to remain in therapy longer term. Patients should periodically discuss their goals with their therapist to make sure the two are aligned on process and progress.

What are the limitations of art therapy?
Art therapy is helpful for many people, but a limitation is that it doesn’t have as robust an evidence base as other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy. The evidence on art therapy is mixed; some research demonstrates its benefits, while other research suggests that it has little impact on patients.
