I have been counseling for 21 years in a private practice setting in mental health related areas with individuals, couples, and families. I provide treatment for relationships, marital, military combat trauma, sexual abuse , Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) and other related stress disorders, depression, addiction recovery, adjustments, anger, and stress management.

My background includes advanced training in Sexual Disorders, Depression, Anxiety and Trauma. I'm a Licensed Psychotherapist & Certified Sex Therapist in private practice located in Brentwood. I primarily work with individual adult women and adolescent girls from all walks of life, but some areas of clinical focus include: anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, sexual abuse , grief/loss, identity issues, and relational concerns.

We are wired for connection and our relationships can powerfully shape our lives. These relationships can be protective and transformative in healing from overwhelming or traumatic experiences. Because of this, I prioritize building a trusting relationship with my clients and their families where they feel safe and supported. Many children, teens & young adults I meet grapple with big feelings, thoughts or behaviors. It's challenging to watch our children struggle and to find compassion when faced with hard behaviors. I invite clients to explore new strategies and ways of understanding themselves, others, and the world around them.

I view therapy as an interactive process leading to the possibility of starting a journey that can guide you through your difficulties, enrich your understanding of yourself, and overcome the things that no longer serve you to cultivate a more grounded and fulfilling life. I was raised in the diverse melting pot of NYC as a first-generation Chinese American, born to parents who emigrated from Hong Kong. After college, I moved to Nashville, where I had the wonderful privilege of traveling the world as a musician. These experiences afforded me the unique opportunity to hear thousands of people’s stories—from depression, suicide, grief, and addiction to hope found amidst it all. Through these stories, as well as my own, I came to realize the powerful gift of therapy and the difference that occurs when one comes to understand their intrinsic worth and their capacity to be seen, heard, known, and loved.
