I am a licensed professional counselor in Nashville, TN. I am passionate about helping others and I work with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of presenting issues. Life is messy, full of hurts, disappointments, stressors, and grief – past and present. I want to help you get “unstuck” so you can live your best life, whatever that is for you. I have been where you are which makes me uniquely qualified to sit with you and to walk alongside you on your journey of healing. I cannot give you the answers, but I promise you will not have to find them alone.

My overall objective is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for individuals, couples and families to address personal challenges. My professional experience prepares for me to work in a culturally competent framework with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and life experiences. My expertise enables me to work effectively with all ages from early childhood through adolescence, young adulthood, middle adulthood and the elderly season.

One of my very favorite quotes by Brene Brown is, "Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they are never weakness." As life will sometimes present challenges that may be difficult to navigate, it's not necessary to navigate those challenges alone. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I offer treatment that is goal oriented using a variety of therapeutic approaches.

This includes working in hospital/treatment settings for family and personal addiction recovery, working at a community mental health center and 6 years working in a family counseling agency doing individual, family and group therapy. For the last 25 years, I have been in private practice seeing individual adults, currently through telehealth.
