Welcome to New Journeys Counseling. I am Vicki and I am a Christian Counselor focused on helping women find hope and healing. Life is full of struggles and heart aches and no matter who we are none of us are immune to the trials of life, but God did not intend for us to walk this life alone, we need to have relationships with others. With a wholistic approach aimed at engaging the whole self: heart, mind, and body I desire to provide a safe, supportive space for my clients to explore your thought, emotions, behaviors and grow to discover who God created them to be as they let Him be the light on their journey.

My goal is to provide you with a safe environment that will give you the opportunity to heal. I am committed to helping you navigate through life’s trials, challenges, and find resolution by treating the whole person; mind, body, and spirit.

My favorite part of what I do is getting to hear other people’s stories and how they came to be at the place that they are right now. All of us, including myself, have been through times when we’re hurting and we don’t know what direction to go. I often say, “The thing that is worse than hurting is hurting alone.” One of the biggest benefits of counseling is connection. I believe connection is more healing than any pill, program, or self-help book. That’s why I take being invited into my clients’ stories very seriously. It’s an honor to get to walk alongside folks as they decide to get to the hard work of making changes and healing.

Sometimes clients can feel stuck in “survival mode”, which can keep them from fully engaging in their lives. I am passionate about empowering my clients to see they have options in their lives and ensure they are able to regain a sense of self. I believe such empowerment allows clients to create better connections with others and have compassion for themselves. It can be exhausting to feel like you have to be “fine” all the time, especially during a difficult season of life. I offer a safe space for you to come in and heal.

Greetings- Working with families and individuals for over 20 years, It’s a honor to work with clients as well as meet them where they are in their personal journey. Every individual has a story, but not everyone knows how to give voice to it. Healing comes through having a safe place to tell the story, and a safe person to hear it. In my personal and professional life, I have found one thing to be true: Life can be hard. I have a passion for supporting others in resolving pain and reclaiming fullness in life.
