Navigating life can be very difficult, especially if you feel as if you have to do it on your own. Hopelessness, anger, confusion, and feeling overwhelmed are just some of the emotions that can keep you from living the life you desire. Learning skills to regulate your emotions will help improve your mental health and significantly affect your physical health.

Therapy is an opportunity to alleviate emotional pain and a safe space to reflect and grow. When seeking therapy, many people might be unsure of what they want and afraid of uncertainty. My hope is to help you walk through a healthy perspective to replenish a meaningful and rewarding life where you can see yourself more completely and inspire yourself to be the calm within the storm. With a compassionate, non-judgmental, and psychologically mindful space, I hope you will feel deeply understood and optimistic.

You’re carrying so much—taking care of everyone, handling work, managing life—but when was the last time you focused on you? It’s easy to put yourself last, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay stuck in the cycle of overwhelm. You deserve support, space to breathe, and a path forward that actually feels good. Let’s work on that together.

I work with people looking for pragmatic and effective support while experiencing crises, emotional pain, and life changes, and those looking to overcome old wounds and self-sabotaging patterns. Most of the clients I serve have experienced trauma, including abuse within their family, relationships, workplace, or religious context, and I also support people experiencing mental health and substance use concerns.

Young people present unique challenges, but also unique opportunities. After almost 30 years experience working with this population, there aren't many situations I haven't encountered. There is always reason for hope. What your therapist expects influences the outcomes. As a behavioral optimist, I approach clients I work with believing that no one wants to be miserable. We all want to reach our potential, as children, adolescents, parents, families, members of a community. Every living, breathing person, whatever their age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or place in life, is capable of change. That is a firm belief of mine.

I am both inspired by and respectful of the time, courage and commitment it takes for you to engage in a therapeutic relationship, especially via telehealth. Utilizing a strength’s-based approach, I believe helping you to set realistic and achievable goals is pivotal to a successful outcome of self-sufficiency and self-care. Working from a place of compassion, flexibility and sensitivity, I also recognize and incorporate in treatment the importance of different life factors (e.g., family, cultural and environment) that heavily influence us socially and emotionally and our abilities to cope with challenges.

Many of my clients are thoughtful, driven individuals who’ve built impressive lives while carrying silent burdens—grief, trauma, shame, or disconnection. They often identify as high-achieving, insightful, & maybe a little perfectionistic. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, sexual trauma, or complexities in your relationships, I offer a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. Here, you can be messy, honest, & deeply human. I practice from an existential & trauma-informed foundation, blending philosophical depth with practical tools. I’m an AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, trained in EMDR & other evidence-based modalities.

On the surface everything's great. You went through the motions, did what you were supposed to do- maybe some mistakes on the way- but overall you created a life that should be fulfilling. Yet, something is off. You can identify numerous wins and opportunities for gratitude, but it feels like an act. As a result, you shame yourself, you tell yourself you're not trying hard enough or something is broken inside of you and maybe you're not worthy of all you worked hard for. So you go into overdrive, or maybe pretend the feeling isn't there. But the feeling doesn't go away- it expands each day until you ask yourself, "Who even am I?"

Welcome! It could be that the thought of therapy is scary, and maybe you're thinking to yourself, "I never thought I would be here." I'm here to assure you that you don't have to face what you're facing alone. Guess what? Therapy is a completely normal and healthy thing to seek out. Many people do it every day! It would be an honor to work with you as you seek healing, balance, and harmony in your life and relationships. Far too often we try to put a bandaid on top of things that require some extra work. I would be thrilled to assist and walk beside you as you put in this extra work on your journey.

Are you struggling due to feeling like you don't belong? Do you need help finding a safe and supportive community? You don't have to walk this path alone! I seek to work collaboratively with clients to help them learn new and healthier ways of relating to those around them and gain a greater ability to treat themselves and others with compassion. It takes courage to step into the therapy room; I work to provide a disarming space for clients. My curiosity guides me as I get to know people for who they are and help clients learn to think, feel, and act in new productive ways in order for them to become the people they hope to be.
