This psychotherapy technique allows me to help individuals process through feelings of anxiety, OCD, codependency, and past trauma.
I provide guidance and support to teens and adults who want to experience hope, healing, and growth. I am trained in EMDR therapy, which is a psychotherapy technique that helps individuals work towards freedom from anxiety, grief, OCD, codependence, and past trauma. I also integrate the modalities of Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Narrative therapy, Person Centered therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy into my practice. I am committed to helping people explore their emotions, manage stress and anxiety, build healthy relationships, and heal from trauma.

II specialize in working with anxiety, OCD, PTSD, TBI, mood disorders, co-occurring conditions, caregivers, and major life transitions.
“Don’t believe everything you think.” This simple phrase captures the heart of my work as a therapist. Life is full of change, uncertainty, and challenges that can leave many people feeling stuck in cycles of worry, anxiety, or overwhelm. For those living with a disability or chronic illness, these challenges can feel even more intense. My goal is to help clients rediscover their strengths, build resilience, and develop practical tools to cope with everyday life—without losing sight of who they are.

I specialize in treating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder ( OCD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Our first session will allow me to learn more about what has led you to therapy and about you as a person. You are more than your struggle, more than your diagnosis. The first session will also allow me the chance to make a preliminary clinical diagnosis which will help guide treatment.

More specialized work involves treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
My hope is to create a relationship between the therapist and the individual that fosters positive and lasting change. To that end, I work patiently to ensure a sense of trust and safety. In addition, I feel I work well with individuals who go to therapy to be challenged, to be "unstuck." In these cases, I can be supportive while also being firm and direct. My approach is sensitive to the individual's life circumstance, their personality, and their comfort level with the therapeutic process.

I work with a variety of concerns but particularly enjoy working with unique presentations of OCD, navigating life transitions and identity, and issues of self-esteem/relationship.
Life can feel heavy when you’re carrying around invisible burdens: unspoken fears, lingering shame, or that constant inner voice telling you you’re not enough. You might be moving through a big change, stuck in the same old patterns, or just feeling lost. I offer a compassionate, psychologically safe environment to explore what’s holding you back and help you build toward a life that feels more aligned, connected, and meaningful. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. My approach is collaborative and attuned to your full context - who you are, where you’ve been, and what you're moving toward.

My greatest clinical strengths lie in working with anxiety and OCD, depression, & teens and young adults.
Therapy is a place to seek out growth, understanding, and compassion toward yourself and others. And since everyone has a unique story, impacted by people and experiences both past and present, it is crucial that therapy is personalized. Whether you're working toward self-exploration, acceptance, change, or all of the above, we can find a path together. I will collaborate with you in assessing concerns and working toward growth, while providing support throughout your journey.

You’re standing at a crossroads — maybe life is pushing you into a new season, like starting school, switching careers, or simply realizing the way things have been… isn’t working anymore. Change is exciting, but let’s be real — it’s also overwhelming. You don’t have to navigate it alone.

How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
