I am passionate about helping people with a variety of issues, especially those who are/have been in abusive relationships, people who have experienced trauma/ abuse, people who are in crisis, relationship issues, mood disorders, and self-esteem issues.
Meet people where they are is my motto. To me, that is the best place to start. Making the decision to begin therapy is hard and sometimes scary. My goal is to create a safe space for my clients to address whatever they are struggling with. I am non-judgmental and understand that there are reasons people are and/or feel a certain way. I love helping people understand the root of the issue and working to resolve and get healing from the issue.

Welcome to my page! I hope to serve the people I work with by creating a space where people can be themselves unabashedly. When we exist in spaces where we feel heard, respected, and cherished, I believe that change comes naturally.
Through therapy with me, I hope to enrich one’s self-knowledge, develop self-compassion, and encourage them to live authentically, whatever that may mean.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—from yourself, your relationships, or the pace of life—you’re not alone. Many of the clients I work with are adolescents, adults, and families who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck despite trying to “think their way through” their struggles. Many experience stress in their bodies—racing thoughts, tension, shutdown, or emotional reactivity. My approach helps clients understand and regulate their nervous system, process underlying stress or trauma, and reconnect with a sense of calm, control, and clarity so they can move forward with confidence.

My work centers on helping individuals move toward greater balance, resilience, and self-connection through an integrative approach to mental health. I believe emotional well-being is shaped not only by our thoughts and experiences, but also by the state of our nervous system and our connection to the body and environment. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that insight alone has not shifted. Therapy offers a space to slow down, understand those patterns, and develop a more regulated and compassionate relationship with yourself.

I'm so glad that you are considering reaching out for help! I believe that the therapeutic relationship has the power to be one of the most transformative in our lives. I find that disconnection from ourselves and others, as well as deviating from what brings us meaning, leads to pain. It is important to me that, together, we utilize your strengths in uncovering a path to a deeper sense of "connectedness" and more authentic living. I offer support, and I do a lot of listening. I also value to concept of neurodivergence, and how addressing these factors, if applicable, can greatly improve therapeutic outcomes.

"We are born in relationship. We grow in relationship. We are wounded in relationship. And we are healed in relationship." - Harville Hendrix. Therapy can benefit us in many ways including feeling heard, growing in self awareness, and healing from adversity life throws at us. It is also a great place to learn compassion for ourselves and empathy for others in our lives. As a therapist, I believe people are relational creatures. We can thrive or suffer greatly depending upon the quality of our relationships with God, others, and ourselves.

What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.
When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.
What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.
How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
