Healing is often uncomfortable. No one likes feeling exposed or overwhelmed, but together, we can pull those heavy emotions out from under that 'everything is fine' umbrella and look at them for what they really are.
I’m Sierra, and I believe therapy isn't just about managing symptoms; it’s about a collaborative partnership to help you grow, heal, and finally feel like yourself again. My approach is non-judgmental, direct, and deeply compassionate.
Whether you’re navigating the weight of depression, the constant hum of anxiety, or the complexities of grief and trauma, I meet you exactly where you are.

There are several things in my life which drive me to be a counselor. My own past with it struggles, acceptances, failures, and successes drive me to do what I do. I am able to sit in dark places, empathize with struggle and loneliness, and challenge ways of thinking and behaving from a non-judgmental place. I love the unique position a counselor has to problem solve through the failures, walk the uphill road to recovery, and celebrate the success and growth that comes out of the journey.

Another sleepless night kept awake either by nightmares, haunting images from the past, or memories that you can’t push away? You’ve tried almost everything to keep the past in the past, but no matter what, the past keeps showing up in all the reminders around you. The traumatic event(s) were awful enough, reliving them over again in your mind and body just seems unusually cruel. You’ve tried keeping up appearances at work, around family, but the more you try, the more disconnected you feel. As time moves on, you keep wondering if there’s something wrong with "you" that you can’t just “get over” them.

Life gets weird sometimes, and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
Therapy can be a place to slow down, talk honestly about what’s going on, and start making sense of it all - at your own pace.
Together, we’ll look at what’s been on your heart and mind, what’s helping (even a little), and what might need to change. I help clients work through things like anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life transitions in a way that feels manageable and real.

Hi, I’m Hannah and I am ready to meet my clients where they're at in life. Many of my clients come to therapy seeking a stronger sense of control over their thoughts and emotions, looking to get to the root of why relationships sometimes feel so hard, or simply struggling with recent life changes. Somewhere along the way, we may have experienced circumstances that damaged our confidence or taught us it was unsafe to be our authentic selves. I believe at its core, therapy offers healing through relationship and can provide the space to explore how our past experiences might still be influencing us today.

Have you ever looked at your life and thought, how did I get here? You tell yourself this time will be different, but the stress, cravings, and chaos keep showing up. You want to get clean, or maybe you already have, but it still feels like you’re barely staying afloat.
If that’s where you are, I get it because I’ve lived it. I’ve been in recovery for over thirteen years, and I know what it’s like to fight addiction, survive domestic violence, face court dates, and rebuild from the ground up. I work specifically with adults and their families navigating substance use and recovery.

FAQ - Therapist Gender
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.
Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.
Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.
How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
