I have over 20 years of experience in the counseling area.
We all experience anxiety, depression, grief, and loneliness at times. And we all struggle with memories from childhood that greatly influence our thinking. These things make up many of the stories we use to control how we feel about the quality of our lives. Changing those stories can help you build the life you desire.

Life can feel like a struggle sometimes. We may have had negative experiences, and may find ourselves stuck in certain patterns or ways of reacting. As a therapist my goals are to explore and validate my clients’ experiences, help them better understand where our patterns come from and help to empower my clients to find new ways to move forward.

Life is a natural ebb and flow. However, when we get stuck in the ebb we can begin to develop patterns of being that do not serve our physical and emotional wellbeing; this can be a difficult place from which to emerge. The decision to seek guidance during these times is a bold act of self-compassion. We have incredible internal resources and an inherent capacity for healing. My role is to help guide clients back to connection with their authentic selves and others through the process of curious exploration, loving-kindness, and present moment awareness.

I have experience as a therapist in outpatient mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, cancer treatment facilities, substance abuse treatment centers and schools. With 10 years of serving both individuals and family systems, I have addressed a vast array of symptoms related to mental health concerns. I tend to focus on the whole body and its connections. I understand counseling as growth, much in the same way a tree grows. In counseling we honor our roots, noting where we came from while stretching our branches high and reaching for what we wish to become.

Parents often reach out when they feel worried, overwhelmed, or unsure how to best support their child. Maybe your child is anxious, emotionally reactive, withdrawn, or struggling socially or at school. Maybe your teen feels misunderstood, shuts down, or is carrying more stress than they can explain. Many families come to therapy not because they’ve failed, but because they care deeply and want things to feel calmer, safer, and more connected. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and parents, helping families navigate anxiety, big emotions, family stress, and life transitions. I believe that behavior is communication

Finding the right therapist for YOU and the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors associated with positive therapy results. I place primary importance on our relationship providing an atmosphere of safety, warmth and understanding. While I have a wealth of professional and personal knowledge and expertise in individual and family recovery from addictions/compulsive behaviors, family of origin issues and life patterns that prevent authentic living, I do not approach the relationship as an "expert" but rather as a supportive guide who joins you on the journey. I am passionate about all things relational.

Look successful but feel exhausted, anxious, and disconnected inside? As the "strong one," you carry it all while quietly asking, "Is this it?" You're tired of the pressure and feeling numb. You need a space to be vulnerable and understood. Your goal is simple: to find your way back to a life that feels present, meaningful, and genuinely yours, not just the one you were told to build.

Not accepting new clients
I am not currently accepting new clients. I work to cultivate a space where people feel valued for the multifaceted identities they hold and where nonjudgmental curiosity welcomes difficult, messy questions that seem to arise simply from being alive. I especially enjoy working with folks who are seeking Intersectionality affirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming and Neurodivergent affirming care
