I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Life Coach with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with adults, teenagers, and older children who face struggles related to stress, anxiety, depression, and issues surrounding confidence and self-esteem.
In my practice, I guide clients to understand that it’s not the events in life that cause mental health struggles, but rather how we interpret and respond to them. My approach is rooted in empowering my clients to reshape their perspectives and develop tools to handle life's ups and downs with resilience.

I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. I did my training in Houston, Texas, where I lived for 24 years. I've been in practice for over 15 years. I am a strong Christian. But I only do Christian counseling when asked to do so. I am very LGBT friendly. I believe everybody deserves dignity and respect. We could all use a little help sometimes. I work best with people who are open to feedback and able to discuss concerns without judgment or reserve.

After retirement from the USAF I pursued a degree that I could use to help others. The most effective therapy I could find is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). For about eight years now I have worked with clients of various ages and all walks of life to address their individual trauma. I have seen insecurity replaced with confidence. My goal is to assist my clients to have a better quality of life, to help you replace nightmares with a good night’s sleep. Trauma effects each individual differently from depression to memory gaps, to fits of rage or drug abuse, maybe it is time to come in and talk.

You may be successful, dependable, and the person everyone else turns to, yet still find yourself questioning your worth, overthinking relationships, or feeling like you're never quite enough. Many of the women I work with are exhausted from seeking validation from others, putting everyone else's needs first, and carrying emotional burdens alone. Despite appearing strong on the outside, they often struggle with self-doubt, people-pleasing, anxious attachment, and difficulty trusting themselves.
