Hello! I'm Stacy and I am passionate about working with female adults and adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety and the many things life throws at us. To achieve this, I utilize a therapeutic approach called Acceptance and Integration Therapy. Being a certified AAIT (Acceptance and Integration) therapist has allowed me to help clients heal, identify goals and quickly relieve psychological suffering.

I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist and a trauma-informed EMDR therapist. I work with clients who are struggling with sexually compulsive and addictive behaviors including compulsive porn use, infidelity, sexual aversions, and other problematic behaviors. I do not discriminate against any person who comes seeking help with sexual problems. Rather, I offer a non-judgmental, empirically-based approach to help work through and resolve behaviors. If you have any questions about whether or not a compulsion or addiction is present, I would be happy to assess those behaviors and provide recommendations.

**Currently on WAITLIST. Not currently accepting new clients.** My passion lies in seeing your renewed hope and confidence; confidence in your ability to get through this tough time, and hope that things will look better on the other side of it. I believe in people's ability to handle change, transition, or trauma. I do know that sometimes it can be hard to know exactly how to do this alone. We often get bogged down in feeling the weight of our issues, and have difficulty seeing it from any other perspective, or knowing how to begin to get "unstuck."

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor providing individual therapy for adults, with current availability for self-pay telehealth appointments. I approach therapy from the empowering perspective that we are not in control of what happens to us or around us, but we are responsible for the consequences of how we choose to allow these things to affect us and how we choose to respond. By making different choices, we can feel differently. In any given situation, we are doing the best we can with what we have, and, through therapy, we can build better ways to actively engage in life, instead of merely existing.

I see individuals ages 8-26. I offer individual and family therapy sessions. My sessions are very unique in that I allow a place for kiddos to be kiddos. My favorite part of my job is when a client tells me, "I never thought therapy could be like this." or "This makes so much sense." Kiddos are in a state of development that can be either extremely scary or exciting. What makes the difference is when they and loved ones understand this process on a cognitive, emotional, and physiological level. Then behaviors and responses become more clear and how to handle them becomes more effective.

One of the things life has taught me is to not believe everything you think because our mind can really play tricks on us. There is hope even when you think there is none. There are solutions even when you cannot see them, because you have more power than you know.

I work primarily with adults who have experienced early life trauma and/or adverse experiences. Maybe you are having difficulty expressing needs and setting boundaries within relationships, are experiencing panic attacks, feel anxious in social situations, or are having difficulty living in the present. Your feelings are valid regardless of what you’ve been told or what your experiences have led you to believe. You deserve to see yourself differently and be present in your life.

The decision to come to counseling is an important step. Often we feel alone in our struggles and the sense of isolation can drive us deeper into fear and shame. Coming to counseling and allowing ourselves to be known takes tremendous courage. Through my own experiences in counseling and in counseling others, I have come to believe that hope, redemption, and restoration can become a part of every person’s story. My approach to counseling is collaborative, holistic, and interactive. I have experience working with clients in most stages of life including individuals, couples, families, and adolescents.

I welcome your interest in psychotherapy or psychoanalysis. I am an experienced therapist and analyst with adults of all ages, and I address a wide variety of issues and problems. This range includes: relationships, job stress, and issues of more depth such as depression, anxiety, anger, and conflicts around spirituality and/or trauma. I imagine you are considering or seeking someone to talk with because of some dissatisfaction in your life. The process I use begins with us exploring the problem(s) you currently experience. This inevitably leads us to uncovering and exploring the maladaptive patterns in your life.

You might have beliefs about food and your body that are unhelpful. You might think your eating habits are "healthy" and normal when in reality they are quite harmful. You might be ashamed of your body. You might be confused about what, when, and how much to eat and how often to move your body. If you are struggling to know how to nourish your body with food and how to accept and love your body, I can help you learn how to reject diet culture that tells you there is something wrong with your body and how to make peace with food as fuel and medicine.
