It is my desire to assist families and individuals who are interested in improving their self-esteem, emotional intelligence, and spiritual well-being. Life is easier and more satisfying when we are at peace with ourselves. It is very important that everyone knows that there is Christian counseling and then there is secular psychology counseling. Adhibitus llc is a Christian Counseling group. At Adhibitus LLC we believe counseling should involve praying about the client’s difficulties and looking to the authority of the Bible for guidance. In this way, Adhibitus LLC seek to encourage clients to build a dependency on God.

Together, we create a space where you can show up as you are—without fear of saying too much or being seen as weak.
As a first responder, it’s more than a paycheck—it’s a calling. But it asks a lot of you, and you may be wondering how much longer you can keep doing it. Many of the first responders and military members I work with have been right where you are—your mind racing and unable to slow down, and your body tense and unable to fully relax. You want to be present with family and friends, but no matter where you are, you’re exhausted and distracted. You can’t remember the last time you slept well or felt truly rested. You miss the parts of your life that once brought you peace, happiness, and a sense of control.

Some of the areas I see on a regular basis include anxiety issues, marital/family problems, and college students.
I believe that the client/therapist relationship is the most important piece to being a successful counselor. Therefore I want to get to know my clients and "walk with them" through their struggles. This includes understanding the issue and looking at reasonable ways to deal with it.

NOW accepting new clients! You ask yourself, "will it ever stop?" The racing thoughts, the paralyzing self-doubt and the overwhelm. You’re easily triggered. It feels like you're on an emotional roller coaster. That intrusive voice is telling you that you’re not enough—you’ll never measure up. Perfectionism and procrastination keep you stuck. You find yourself in an unfulfilling job or relationship yet again. You long for connection, but are afraid of rejection. You seek comfort with alcohol, food, social media, work or shopping, but the feelings keep coming back.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
