My clinical training emphasized psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychological
testing
, including personality, emotional functioning, diagnosis, psychoeducational, ADHD, child-custody, and other forensic assessment.
Therapy is different with each person. At the heart of my therapeutic approach is careful, thoughtful, and non-judgmental listening. It is important that you feel understood and hopeful, and that we can work together. Starting therapy, people hope to find relief, yet often feel ambivalent, unsure about what they want, and afraid of the unknown. I view therapy as a two-person process. We will focus on understanding the feeling of being at an impasse in life, and roots of repetitive relationships and life patterns. This will help us develop individualized ways to decrease suffering, promote insight, and foster a sense of ownership of your life.
