I am in-network with Aetna, Cigna, and UHC, and I can provide a superbill for my out-of-network clients seeking reimbursement.
My role is to provide unconditional, affirming support throughout your therapy journey. I believe therapy works best when you are active in the process, and we work collaboratively to identify goals that feel meaningful and true to you. I bring genuineness, compassion, and at times a sense of humor into sessions, creating a space where you can show up fully as yourself.

I provide therapy for children, teens, and new parents during pregnancy and the postpartum period in a warm, supportive environment where you can feel safe being yourself. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and honest—I won't shy away from having direct conversations, but I also believe laughter has an important place in the healing process. Whether you're a parent navigating the challenges of pregnancy or postpartum, a child struggling to express big emotions, a teen facing increasing pressures, or an adult feeling stuck, you don't have to figure it out alone.

If you’ve found yourself saying: “My body feels like it’s holding things I can’t name.” “I miss who I was before the pain.” “I’m tired of my body making decisions for me.” “I’m afraid the people in my life think I’m being dramatic.” “I’m tired of being dismissed in medical spaces." …we might be a great fit. I work with people living with chronic pain and illness, especially those who sense that their bodies are carrying the weight of trauma, stress, or long-standing emotional wounds. I hold the belief that your body houses your life experiences, your family's history, your resilience, and the parts of you that never felt fully safe.

My legal first name is Beatrice; please join my clients in calling me Faith. On the outside, it may look like you have it all together—but internally, it’s a different story. I work with high-achievers, business professionals, and driven individuals who are navigating stress, burnout, relationship challenges, and struggles with self-worth. You might be constantly pushing yourself, feeling pressure to perform, or finding it hard to slow down without guilt. Even success can feel empty when you’re exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of who you are outside of what you do.

Have you ever driven a fully-loaded 15-passenger van? As drivers in that situation, when we look in the rearview mirror, the only thing we can see is the passengers. We can't see outside. The side-view mirror offers minimal help. We have a HUGE blindspot. If we are in the left lane of the interstate and want to move to the right, the best thing to do is ask the "shotgun" rider to check. A counselor functions much like that: helping us check our blindspots.

We are in-network for Cigna, Aetna, Optum, and UHC, and can also provide a superbill for my out-of-network/self-pay clients which may help with insurance provider reimbursement.
If you identify with any of these struggles we may be a good fit: You're feeling unsure or unsupported while experiencing grief and loss of all kinds. You feel stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or lost during a transition in life, relationship or career. You're exploring "who am I, really?," and other essential questions in life. You struggle with adult ADHD and its effect on adulting, relationships and creativity and asking yourself "how do I manage it all AND make room for fun?!" And most importantly, you're having a difficult time answering "When was the last time I felt present, connected, curious, joyful, playful, or in awe?"

In my 60+ years I have personally experienced a lot of things that my clients share with me. I am able to empathize or and the very least identify with my clients needs. My approach is Person/Client Centered; Person-centered therapy uses a non-authoritative approach that allows clients to take more of a lead in discussions so that, in the process, they will discover their own solutions. The therapist acts as a compassionate facilitator, listening without judgment and acknowledging the client’s experience without moving the conversation in another direction. The therapist is there to encourage and support the client.

You feel off track of where you want to be in this phase of life, navigating difficult transitions. You are mentally, emotionally, physically overwhelmed by the adjustments being made at rapid pace. Maybe you're a young adult just venturing out on your own or navigating new relationships and figuring out who you really are. Maybe you're a senior citizen, dealing with health issues, caring for a spouse at the end of their days or maybe you've just said your final goodbyes. Or perhaps you are right in the middle of life (like me), trying to navigate kids, aging parents, career transitions, home-life balance and midlife marriages.

Arriving at the place of wholeness oftentimes is a journey. That path has “detours” and “construction” blocks along the way. Some of us barrel through those and some of us turn around. Either direction leaves us in a place where we need healing. We all have the strength to conquer our adversities and I want to partner with you.

Does insurance cover therapy, prescriptions and other behavioral health services?
In general, yes. Laws in the U.S. require insurers to cover essential behavioral health care at the same level as other health care services. Most health plans require a medical diagnosis and treatments that are evidence based and medically essential. This means that life coaching and alternative therapies are not covered, nor is therapy without a diagnosis. Call the number on the back or your insurance card or visit your insurance company's website to review your Summary of Benefits. If you have insurance through your employer, your Human Resources department may also be able to answer questions.

How much does therapy cost with insurance?
The cost of therapy depends on your region, how much training and experience your therapist has, and the type of treatment. The rate for talk therapy generally falls between $100 and $250. For a client seeing an in-network provider, the cost of therapy is often similar to the cost of other health care services. Clients pay co-pays and may need to satisfy a plan’s deductible before benefits kick in.

What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network insurance coverage?
An in-network provider has contracted with an insurer to get paid directly for services, and to accept the insurer’s rate of compensation. Clients are responsible for deductibles and copays. If a therapist is out of network, that means that the client pays the therapist directly for services at the therapist’s regular fee. Out-of-Network providers often give clients a receipt so that they can file for partial reimbursement with their insurance company.

Is it difficult to find an In-Network therapist?
It is not unusual for therapists to limit the number of insurance patients in their practice, so it’s important to check in-network availability when you schedule your first appointment. In regions and times where therapy is in high demand it may take longer to get scheduled with an in-network therapist.

What is the difference between HMO and PPO insurance plans?
HMO health plans only cover in-network services, there is no reimbursement for out-of-network providers. PPO plans often cover both in- and out-of-network services, though the client may pay more for out-of-network services.

What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a receipt for therapy services. It provides all the information required by insurance companies to reimburse you for out-of-network services, including the diagnostic codes for your care, the amount paid, and the dates and duration of care.

Does insurance cover Online therapy?
Many therapists who shifted their practice to online therapy during the pandemic have kept that arrangement. And most insurers continue to cover telehealth services, with a few exceptions. Preventive care (such as an annual depression screening) is often required to be in-person to be covered, and some states require prescribers of controlled substances to see those patients in person.

Does insurance cover Group therapy?
Many insurance plans provide coverage for group therapy provided there is a medical diagnosis for group members, but there are some noteworthy exceptions. For example, Medicare does not always cover group therapy. Group therapy tends to cost less than individual therapy.

Does insurance cover Couples therapy?
Most insurance companies do not cover the cost of couples therapy because there is no medical diagnosis or medically necessary treatment. However, a few plans will offer a limited benefit, so it is still worth checking with your insurance company. Sometimes therapy is covered for a couple when one person has a diagnosis and another family member joins them for joint therapy, but it is considered therapy for the medical condition that includes a family member as a listener or helper, not couples counseling. Without insurance, most clients pay between $100-300 per 60-90 min session for couples therapy. Often clients can find classes or workshops that make it more affordable to work on their relationship. And some employers offer Employee Assistance Plans that help defray the cost of couples therapy.

What is an Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)?
Employee Assistance Plans are purchased by employers for the benefit of their employees. EAPs typically assist employees with referrals and may also provide the first few sessions of therapy free of charge, with the patient's regular health insurance kicking in after those initial sessions. EAP benefits often apply to all types of therapy without the need for a medical diagnosis, making it easier to access couples therapy, therapy for life transitions, and other non-medical counseling. Just as with standard health insurance, clients should always check that a provider accepts their EAP benefits before scheduling. Learn more about Insurance Coverage and Finding Affordable Therapy
