I especially enjoy working with women's issues and career-oriented individuals as they explore ways to balance all of life's demands. Often times, I see clients who are frustrated and feel "stuck" by their current circumstances and relationships. Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or depressed is a normal part of life, but it can be hard to sort through and determine why you feel this way. Together, we will focus on determining the root of these frustrations and solutions to getting "unstuck."

My work is rooted in attachment-based therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
You might feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected—from yourself, your partner, or the life you imagined. Many of my clients are women navigating ADHD, anxiety, or major life transitions like becoming a new mom, getting married, adjusting after divorce, or figuring out life after college. Couples often come in feeling distant, caught in the same arguments, or unsure how to reconnect. Deep down, you want clarity, emotional connection, and a steadier sense of yourself and your relationships.

Do you feel that you have a need for control or reassurance to go about your day? Have you wondered why repetitive thoughts feel difficult to manage? Maybe you're constantly stuck in cycles of overthinking, panic, or rituals with difficulty making sense of it. You might feel exhausted from the anxiety and isolated from others, unsure how to explain what you're going through. It does not have to make sense for it to feel real. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

I believe healing happens in the context of safe, attuned connection—when you feel seen, heard, and free to be all that you are without fear. I don’t approach you as a problem to be fixed, but as a whole person with a story that deserves curiosity, care, and compassion. Whether you’re navigating grief, identity shifts, relational struggles, or you simply want to explore your inner world, I am here to hold space for you as you untangle what no longer serves you and connect with your truest self. My goal is not to give you answers, but to create the kind of environment where your inner wisdom can rise to the surface.

I provide a warm, compassionate space using attachment-based therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT/DBT skills, and nervous-system-informed care.
You may feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected in relationships, or stuck in patterns shaped by past hurt. Many of my clients are children, teens, adults, or couples who are trying to hold everything together while quietly struggling inside. You want peace, clarity, emotional safety, and relationships that feel secure instead of painful. Deep down, you’re hoping for real healing—not just coping—so you can feel like yourself again and move forward with confidence and connection.

If your child’s behavior feels confusing, explosive, or completely shut down, and nothing you’ve tried seems to help, you’re not alone. Parents often come in feeling exhausted, worried, and unsure what their child actually needs in the moment. I also work with teens and adults who feel stuck in anxiety, trauma responses, or patterns that haven’t shifted despite years of insight and effort. Clients often reach out when they’ve tried many things and are ready for something deeper and more effective.

Attachment-based Therapists
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
