Healing looks different at every age, and therapy should reflect that. I strive to create a warm, supportive space where children, teens, and adults feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. With children, I use play, creativity, and connection to help them express emotions and build healthy coping skills. With teens and adults, I offer a collaborative approach to navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and life's many challenges. One of the greatest compliments I receive is hearing that clients of all ages look forward to therapy because they feel safe, comfortable, and truly understood.

I also have completed training through the International OCD Foundation (IOCD) in the use of Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy for adults and children, which is the gold standard for OCD treatment
I provide therapy to people from all walks of life and tailor counseling to each individual. I meet people right where they are to help them take steps towards the life they want. I believe that people who struggle with their thoughts and feelings are often just looking for a way to be the person they want to be and sometimes get lost along the way. They want to hold true to their personal values when making choices but have trouble finding a way forward. I believe that, through therapy, people can learn new and creative ways to respond to those thoughts and feelings so they can get back to living a life guided by their values.

Most of my clients are recovering from traumatic past family dynamics. They want to work on anxiety, depression, PTSD, and healthy self-image. Many say they need to "find their voice." My work with couples focuses on attachment and trust issues, infidelity, and rebuilding empathetic, effective communication. My under-18 clients are normally working through issues surrounding increased autonomy, anxiety, depression, and grief, coping with parental separation and loss.

Hi, I'm Cori! I love helping bright, capable, and sensitive people find their way to a more authentic lived experience and break out of unhealthy patterns and relationships that result from low self-worth and trauma. I completed EMDR training in 2019 and this has given me a trauma-informed orientation. Recovering from religious, community, developmental, institutional, educational, or other trauma? I can help with that! I call my business Deep Well Journey because I believe that wellness involves a purposeful journey into the deepest parts of the self in order to tend wounds, reconnect with values, and discover unique potential.

Life can feel overwhelming when you’re constantly battling anxiety, depression, or the lasting effects of trauma. The weight of expectations—at work, at home, or in relationships—can leave you feeling stuck, frustrated, or disconnected. If you’re navigating recovery from addiction or struggling with issues unique to men’s mental health, it’s easy to feel like no one understands what you’re going through. You don’t have to face these challenges alone, and it’s okay to seek support.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
