Discretion, trust, and a sense of safety are paramount for successful therapy. Working with couples, individuals, and families, my goal is to provide an environment of privacy and safety. Those who participate in therapy find that it can be the impetus for improvement in every area of life. I discreetly work with those with high public profiles in areas that include marriage counseling, anxiety, self-esteem/confidence, depression, attachment wounds, trauma, and relationship distress. Many, whom have not considered systemic therapy previously often experience improved relationships in every aspect of their lives, including individuals in executive leadership and upper management positions, as well as entrepreneurs.

Pain is a powerful motivator for change. Being human means struggling with brokenness and pain. Being human also means we have the choice and ability to work toward healing and toward a more abundant life. When the suffering outweighs the joy of living, it would be my privilege to offer you the tools and guidance needed for healing.I am able to provide this thru personal experience and professional training. I am also a certified yoga instructor and offer individual yoga and meditation (without mysticism) to compliment the therapeutic process.

"I need something to change" is a great place to start. Counseling can be a place to facilitate this change. You may find that you are speaking one language while your spouse is speaking another. You can learn how to have a common language and corrective experiences that draw you closer together instead of further apart. Many of your wounds occurred in relationships, thus it is in relationships where they can be restored. I have served individuals and couples in a helping profession for nearly 30 years. You can find practical solutions as well as deep soul and relational change. Though not easy, real change is possible.

conflict, sexual abuse, grief, affair recovery, depression, anxiety, anger management, adult transitional issues, teen sexuality, parenting and spirituality among many other areas of relational brokenness helping people achieve wholeness.
I enjoy working with clients seeking to grow emotionally, spiritually and relationally. I believe therapy is an opportunity to journey deeper areas of self awareness and a greater understanding of who we have been created to be. I am relational in my approach to counseling. I believe that we have been broken in relationships and that we are therefore healed in the context of relationships. I believe we are relational creatures designed to live in intimate relationship with God, Self, and Others and attention must be given to all three areas in order to experience deep transformation. My desire is to walk with clients toward health by exploring their story to uncover the themes, shaping beliefs, and coping strategies that keep us from living fully. Since relational healing takes place in relationship, I strive to create a safe place for my clients to process, grow, be challenged, make personal and relational discoveries, and move toward healing, wholeness, and freedom.

Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.
How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.
How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.
Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
