I often use EMDR in conjunction with CBT and DBT in my practice.
I believe healing happens in the presence of compassion, authenticity, and genuine human connection. Therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical—it can be a space where you feel understood, supported, and even able to laugh at times. I strive to create an environment where you can show up exactly as you are, knowing you’ll be met with empathy, curiosity, and respect. I believe that no one is “broken.”Many of us are simply carrying experiences that are too heavy to hold alone. I tailor therapy to you—your goals, your values, and your lived experience. I want to help you feel grounded, empowered and connected to yourself and others.

You may be functioning on the outside but feel internally overwhelmed, tense, or emotionally shut down. Your mind doesn’t slow down, small things feel heavy, and avoiding tasks or conversations has become easier than dealing with them. You might be carrying anxiety, unresolved experiences, or a sense that something isn’t right, but you can’t quite name it. Therapy can help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and learn how to respond differently, rather than just pushing through.

I believe every patient should receive evidence based treatments which allow them the best opportunity at real and lasting recovery. This means I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Exposure Therapy in treating OCD, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders and Eating disorders. This allows me to be a very hands on therapist. I regularly take clients out into the community to engage in exposure therapy and behavioral activation which allows me to provide support and encouragement throughout the process. I genuinely believe that OCD, anxiety, depression and eating disorders are very treatable conditions when being treated with effective and active treatments.

Because healing is multifaceted, I integrate DBT skills for emotion regulation and somatic practices to help you reconnect with your body's cues.
In a world that looks more connected than ever, many people feel deeply isolated. You may seem “fine” on the outside while carrying anxiety, shame, grief, or self-doubt. I work with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, identity, trauma, and life transitions, and I treat a wide range of concerns. Many clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or are exploring their neurodivergence. I offer a judgment-free, collaborative space rooted in trust, helping you build self-understanding, coping skills, and a life that feels more aligned and sustainable.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I respect the courage it takes to begin. My goal is to help you feel comfortable quickly by building a real connection and offering insight or relief from the very first session. This is especially important for adolescents, young adults, and men who may feel unsure at first. I meet you where you are, focus on your strengths, and work with you to create clear, meaningful goals. My approach is warm, supportive, and direct when needed. I also bring experience as a national and international speaker and trainer, offering a broad, practical perspective to our work together.

I start from a person-centered and strengths-based approach and utilize DBT, TF-CBT, ACT, and ERP interventions.
I believe you deserve the opportunity to meet your most authentic and confident self and to find joy in the journey of doing so. Whether that means healing from trauma, finding where you belong, or learning how to get out of your own way— we can work together to make space in your life for what matters, and that's you. I also acknowledge that each of us exists within larger systems (some of which can be inherently unjust) and that building such a life often requires you to find belongingness and support both from within and from without. I strive to make therapy a healing space but also approachable, safe, and even silly sometimes!

CBT/ DBT helps filter out unnecessary information that we don't need.
In the world today, there are countless things that we often pursue in the hopes of happiness, only to fall short. We ask ourselves, "Why am I still depressed? Why am I still anxious?" As we pursue "happiness," distractions impair our ability to make healthy decisions, and we never get a chance to know what we are thinking. Much of our habits stem from trauma or memories unpleasant enough, we make attempts to avoid the discomfort of the emotions the memories bring.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
