One of my greatest passions involves helping people through various transitions of life. I offer therapy for Grief, Loss, Substance Use Disorders, Trauma, Behavioral Addictions, and Spiritual Direction. I believe our mental health is intricately connected to our emotional and spiritual well-being. There are times we find ourselves choosing unhealthy coping tools to redirect self-defeating, self-loathing, and self-sabotaging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through a multi-disciplined approach I'll help you identify those negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and reconnect to the emotions you've grown numb to.

I am trained in Perinatal Mental Health, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), grief/ bereavement, and teletherapy.
Life transitions can be difficult and dysregulating. Clients typically come in feeling overwhelmed or numb to what is going on in their life. Other clients feel stuck because of a past or recent trauma. My clients are open to exploring the mind-body connection as we collaboratively work together to find what works for them to create stability and joy in their everyday lives.

Through a variety of modalities including EMDR, IFS, ego state, talk therapy, sand tray, and play therapy, I am able to assist my clients in processing family of origin issues, grief, and trauma.
C.S. Lewis wrote "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." Research shows that over time, we come to regret inaction more than we regret any action...What is holding you back from starting where you are to work toward a different ending? I work to help my clients process relationship difficulties, re-parenting and inner child work, processing of grief and/or trauma, parenting issues, and assist with skill building for neurocognitive disorders. We are created for connection, and I work to provide a space for each of my clients to heal and re-connect.

How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.
When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.
Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.
What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
