Have you ever thought, I’ll feel better when (fill in the blank) happens. However, every time you think about it the (fill in the blank) never seems to come or has come but you still feel unsettled. Moving through transitions can seem uncomfortable or chaotic at times but so can seeing a therapist. I’ll help you walk through the journey of your transition or current issue usually while wearing one of my many comfortable sweatshirts.

If you’re a someone who feels like sleeping through the night isn’t real, and vacation is your destress plan, glad you’re here! Veteran, a mother, a healthcare provider, a woman leader, or an entertainment industry professional experiencing burnout, you’re in the right place. Burnout doesn’t always look like exhaustion. I’m also trained and love to work with emotional regulation, sleep, and the feeling you just can’t shake. Let’s change that in your rhythm of life, “Where Science Meets Soul”.

You may be functioning on the outside but feel internally overwhelmed, tense, or emotionally shut down. Your mind doesn’t slow down, small things feel heavy, and avoiding tasks or conversations has become easier than dealing with them. You might be carrying anxiety, unresolved experiences, or a sense that something isn’t right, but you can’t quite name it. Therapy can help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and learn how to respond differently, rather than just pushing through.

My approach pulls from CBT, DBT, and IFS, which is a fancy way of saying I use evidence-based techniques that actually work.
I believe that no condition is permanent. Change happens, sometimes slowly, sometimes all at once, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with couples, families, and individuals navigating ADHD, personality disorders, pornography use, gambling, sexual trauma, death anxiety, and religious trauma. If you’re grappling with big existential questions or feeling disconnected due to current events and political division, I offer a nonjudgmental space to explore those experiences.

Using IFS, Brainspotting, somatic work, and DBT skills, I help clients process deeper experiences—not just manage symptoms—so they can feel more grounded, regulated, and in control of their internal world.

I help them slow down, understand what’s driving these patterns, and reconnect to themselves in a way that creates clarity and meaningful change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
