I am a Licensed Professional Counselor–Mental Health Service Provider dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and regain a sense of emotional stability. My approach is warm, direct, and trauma‑informed. I believe people don’t heal in isolation — they heal in safe, supportive relationships where they feel seen, heard, and understood. Clients often come to me when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from carrying emotional burdens alone. Together, we work to untangle the patterns that keep you in survival mode and build healthier ways of coping, communicating, and connecting.

Do you struggle with repeating emotional patterns in your relationships? Do you feel overwhelmed, shut down, or unsure of how to express what you’re really feeling, especially during conflict? Do you replay conversations, question your responses, or wonder if you handled things the “right” way? Do you want your relationships to feel clearer, safer, and more honest? Many people feel uncertain about how to navigate their relationships. They struggle with how to communicate openly, set boundaries, and stay connected to themselves when emotions get intense. I don't think it should feel this hard to be yourself in your relationships.

Are you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward? Maybe anxiety, trauma, or life stress is making it hard to feel like yourself. You might not even be sure what your goals are yet and that is okay. I work with older teens and adults who want clarity, healing, and practical tools to move through life with more confidence, even when barriers feel heavy or hard to name.

I work with a wide range of issues, although people initially seek out my services for sexual challenges and/or other problematic behaviors (i.e. impulsivity, anger, criminality, abuse, etc).
My therapeutic style is grounded in helping people understand how their patterns formed, and why they tend to repeat patterns even when they’re no longer helpful. I believe insight is not just awareness, but a skill that can be taught, practiced, and strengthened. I am deeply passionate about teaching. Much of my work focuses on psychoeducation: helping clients make sense of their internal experiences in clear, practical ways so change feels attainable rather than overwhelming. When people understand the “why” behind their reactions, they gain more choice in how they respond. Throughout

Life hasn't always been easy for me; however, even at 49, it was not too late to make serious changes and become more of the person I wanted to be. If life has been difficult for you, I understand that every person is unique, has a story, deserves to be listened to, and can change. You are more than you feel like you are. Rebuilding a person's vision for a better tomorrow, is always a good step in the right direction.

Overwhelmed and stressed by the thought of being "Superwoman" again? Time after time, you find yourself rescuing others and putting others before you. Leaving absolutely no time for yourself. Tired of constantly being the "Strong One?" Leaving yourself feeling drained and unfulfilled. At work, you go above and beyond but it goes unnoticed. At home, your days are filled with tasks that take up your entire day but you still feel unappreciated. Personally, you have told yourself that staying busy, overextending yourself and being the "Strong One" equals your success, value and worth.

There is a time in all our lives when it feels that nobody understands, somebody fails to listen, and we feel we have to figure it out by ourselves and that doesn't work either. Finding yourself in that desperate place is an appropriate time to tell your story to a therapist who desires to listen and help you understand where you've been and come along side you to assist you in knowing where you want to go. Courageously step toward the therapy process and embrace the hope that reminds you that you don't have to stay stuck or remain in the dark.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
