Greetings, my name is Tissan Jackson and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys working with clients of all ages to help them achieve their goals and start smiling again. My approach to therapy is client centered. You are the driver. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced trauma and/or grief using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Strength based approaches.
I have found that my style and approach is good fit for all ages who may be dealing with getting pass challenges and emotions that have been buried. This often takes the form of anger, guilt, depression, grief, and anxiety. I work to help clients get through this transition time and to build skills that allow them to live a satisfying life.
Our first session will include me asking questions about your feelings, what led you to therapy, goals, history, and your successes. It’s about us building rapport and understanding. I can not guarantee that this experience will not be challenging but I can say if you’re willing to stick it out it will be worth it in the end.
