Anger, anxiety, attention difficulties, depression, and post-traumatic stress are factors that can negatively impact relationships, academic/job performance, and mood. I use a cognitive-behavioral and client-centered approach to help clients: communicate better, change problematic patterns, cope more efficiently, make good choices, and improve the quality of their relationships. I draw upon each client's strengths in all the work I do with them.
Two common goals I often have with clients are to analyze situations from various perspectives and empower them to make changes when and where they can. My application of psychological theory helps clients achieve their goals. My genuine regard, respect for my clients, sense of humor, and down to Earth personality style helps them look forward to sessions.
Both in-person and virtual sessions are available. I enjoy working with adults and older teens. I support and appreciate diversity. I am also grateful for the opportunity to work with veterans.
