I am a NYS Licensed Mental Health Counselor and NYS Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 25+ years of experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. I use guided imagery, and techniques for developing hopefulness. I also use more traditional insight modes of treatment. I also work through Headway which enables many clients to obtain insurance coverage. Please see my profile at headway.co/providers/tina-kahn for more information.
My areas of expertise are: self-esteem work, depression, anxiety, stress, pain management, couples communication and relationship issues. My work is nonjudgmental and ego-enhancing. I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, CBT/DBT, and EMDR among other methodologies. I derive tremendous satisfaction from seeing people grow and helping marriages thrive.
I enjoy working with all kinds of people with a wide variety of issues and backgrounds. I particularly enjoy working with artistically creative people and spiritually sensitive individuals. I also work through Headway which may allow you to obtain insurance coverage. I can also provide a statement for you to use for any out of network coverage you may have,
