My personal approach to counseling is educational & directive as I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy to promote healthy thinking and positive outcomes. With over 20 years experience my mission has been to help my clients to establish healthy coping skills with situations and relationships that are challenging for them. I do treat my clients the same way as I would want me or my family members to be treated with respect, compassion and competence.
The construct of our subjective emotional realty is based on our childhood experiences as we witness our immediate care givers interact with us, each other and their environment. CBT is a great modality in re-constructing our reality by upgrading our thoughts to match our present understanding of our lives and who we want to transform in to being in the NOW.
My therapeutic vision for my clients is to assist them to better understand themselves and their own role in life for their own happiness. Encouraging them to take charge of their mental & physical well being through self compassion & love. Focusing on stability and balance on thought process, attachment history, boundaries and core evaluation of self worth.
