Timothy Walsh, MA, Pre-Licensed Professional in Philadelphia
I believe that life is a journey and that we aren't meant to travel alone. Sometimes it's helpful to have a person to travel the path with you, to shine light in the dark places. Engaging in counseling is one way in which to get support with your struggles. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, school, issues of faith, addictions or any other disruption to your life, I would love to get to know you and to help shine light in the dark places.
People are complex, made up of several components: the heart, soul, mind, and strength. I take a whole-person approach when working with an individual. Individuals are encouraged to explore their emotions, personality, thoughts, and behaviors. Through this exploration I will help you grow and gain insight that produces a more complete and grounded you.
Several forms of therapy are used: Cognitive-Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Process-Experiential. Techniques from these theories are used based on the needs of the client(s). Emerging Adults, Artists/Creatives, Marriage + Family, Life Transitions,Sexuality + Gender Identity, Faith-based issues + Spirituality. Psychiatric Evaluations and Med Management (Dr. Robert McFadden) are also available in combination with counseling.
