Hello, I'm Timothy Volbrecht, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. I provide services statewide via telehealth using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Reality Therapy. I became a therapist because I am someone who believes in seeking out your own answers on a journey of self-discovery. I believe that providing a space for people to be able to ask questions and work through their personal experiences and discoveries in a supportive environment can lead to self-actualization. I find fulfillment in knowing that I can help others along in their own journeys.
While my past experience has primarily been with people who have engaged in alcohol and other substance use, teenagers who have difficulty with authority, and members of the community who have experienced stress, depression, and anxiety, I am open to working with people of all backgrounds and conditions.
I understand that the idea of opening up may be challenging for you and that it may take time for us to establish a connection that you feel confident and safe in. My priority in sessions is to create space for you to feel comfortable and supported while you speak your truth. I believe in an open, approachable, respectful, and no-pressure environment.
