I view my role as a lantern in the dark. It is challenging to walk around in the dark without any sense of direction before you find a lantern sitting on a stool. It is up to you to decide to pick up the lantern, to use it to guide your path through the dark, walk the path, overcome the barriers before you, and find mental wellness.

I hold certificates in Geek Therapy and am a Certified Therapeutic Dungeon Master. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, the LGBTQIA community, and the Geek Community. I work with clients utilizing elements of geekdom including: table-top RPGs, board games, video games, anime/manga, cosplay, pop culture, virtual reality, and superhero heroes/comics.

I am anti-racist, queer-allied, sex positive, poly-affirming, HAES-affirming. I am a fierce advocate for my clients and for our communities. The Legends Series utilizes Dungeons and Dragons, 5th Edition to educate participants in Cognitive Behavioral concepts (cognitive distortions, intermediate beliefs, and core beliefs). The group is open to participants of all skill levels and knowledge levels relating to the game of D&D and is available to ages 13+. Tim has played Dungeons and Dragons since 1992 and has run Dungeons and Dragons for over twenty years. There have been more than six successful iterations of this series which began in 2019.

Mythos Series - Trauma Focused Call of Cthulhu

The Mythos Series utilizes Call of Cthulhu, 7th Edition, to facilitate trauma work utilizing CPT, exposure therapy, and DBT theoretical bases. Call of Cthulhu is a game based on the work of H.P. Lovecraft and is in the theme of Cosmic Horror. Special modifications to the rules set have been made to facilitate growth and support in deployment of trauma-coping skills Tim Judd has been running Call of Cthulhu games since 2002. Safety precautions will be extensively utilized as will preliminary and ongoing trauma interviews and case-management sessions to ensure the participant’s success.
