I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am also an AAMFT-approved supervisor. I have two pre-teen kiddos and a wonderful wife who keeps me focused. Originally from Louisiana, I have moved all over the country but have resided in Utah for about 8 years. I enjoy traveling, good food, and the theater (whether movies or stage productions). I have always enjoyed getting to know people. Talking with new people is interesting and exciting for me. I enjoy helping people reach their goals. I look at life like a big puzzle, and I love puzzles!
I tend to align with solution-focused therapeutic approaches. I'm client-centered but the techniques I use help the client guide themselves towards a goal-centered approach. Typically, I will meet the client wherever they are but I enjoy listening. If the client needs more interaction or less interaction from me, we adjust accordingly.
A client will come to a session typically on one of their worst days. My job is to align with the client and meet them where they are. I am open to helping the client with whatever goals they see fit.
