Through my 20 years as a therapist I’ve come to understand the common issues that impact peoples’ growth and success. I’ve utilized Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) throughout my career to successfully help people overcome their histories of trauma, calm their nervous systems, heal from toxic shame, and get unstuck in life. I am also certified in Terry Real's Relational Life Therapy (RLT) which is a trauma-informed and pragmatic couples counseling technique to help people get unlocked from their persistent relationship struggles to learn how to more quickly return to harmony and connection.
I have specialized experience working with the LGBTQ community and provide an affirming and safe environment. I work with people on issues of sex and sexuality in a sex-positive manner. I am trauma-informed and understand the effects of trauma, both big and small, and have strategies to help people heal from those painful life experiences.
