Hello and welcome! Congratulations on taking this step in your health and wellbeing! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. I have been in the social work field since 2017. I have a diverse background working in different settings, with different populations, and a variety of stressors and conditions. Over the past several years, my primary focuses include substance abuse, life transitions and stressors, and relationship (i.e. family, marital, work, etc.) stressors. I take an open-minded, accepting, and when appropriate, humorous approach to life's challenges.
I recognize that clients are their own experts. This process is an opportunity for clients to educate me about themselves and their reason for seeking support. We are building rapport throughout our time together. I start sessions by checking in and starting with whatever topic is most pressing. We will work together to identify stressors and develop goals.
People do not seek therapists when everything is great. I understand that, for whatever reason you are seeking therapy, it is likely a difficult and stressful time. My goal is to create a safe and comforting space that is free of judgement for us to work together and for you to work through whatever life's challenges are at this time.
