Hello, my name is Tiffany Whitehurst and I am a licensed therapist. I have experience with working with populations from children to geriatrics. My work experience include working in Outpatient, inpatient psychiatric facility, court, and prison systems. I also have experience working with substance abuse. My approach is to make my client comfortable by providing a safe and welcoming space. It is important to me to establish trust with my client. My most common therapeutic approaches is Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Person-centered therapy, and Solution-focused therapy.
The type of clients I typically work with is children to geriatrics. I have experience in working with substance abuse and mental health. I also work with couples and families.
My communications style with clients is generally assertive communication which involves expressing thoughts in a clear honest way while listening to my client and treating them with respect. I work on making the client as comfortable as possible and work on building a strong rapport.
