I am an LPC in Ohio and I provide telehealth services at Navigate Counseling and Consultation. I believe that counseling is a collaborative process that focuses on the unique, individual qualities of each client. I view counseling from a humanistic perspective which allows the client to guide sessions based on their current needs, create goals and objectives that are best for them individually, and receive unconditional positive regard in a nonjudgmental atmosphere. I specialize in working with adolescents/young adults experiencing issues related to body image, eating disorder behaviors, anxiety, depression, OCD, and perfectionism.
I utilize mindfulness and calming techniques in my work to assist clients in practicing relaxation and staying in the moment. I operate from a Narrative and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy lens to help clients identify their personal values, address maladaptive cognitions, externalize issues, and rewrite their stories while committing to positive change.
