About
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor in the state of Virginia who has over 5 years of experience collaborating with adolescents, families, adults, and couples seeking help with trauma, depression, anxiety, transitions, women concerns, relational issues, and familial issues. Additionally, I have a passion in working with LGBT+ and minoritzed populations. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Park University and received my Master of Arts in Community Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
I utilize Integrative Theory to effectively treat the unique concerns of each individual and family within a Relational Cultural Theory framework. I pride myself in the therapeutic environment that I aim to create, that involves equity between my client and myself. My work is strength-based where I challenge my clients to further empower and support growth.
I aim to develop a compassionate, supportive, and encouraging therapeutic relationship with each client that I come into contact with. I believe that development is continuous, so then I encourage my clients to be kind to themselves during their process towards their stated goals.
